Who lose 2-5 times in their career while facing the best?
It’s like a paradox. Fans say they will like you if you step up in competition, win or lose.
Same fans call that fighter out for losing or having competitive wins over good opposition.
Canelo catches heat because he fights the best and was in some competitive fights while fighting the best.
DSG catches heat because he is 0-3 vs top 3 WW’s.
Anthony Joshua is a bum because he has been KO’ed once.
Deontay Wilder is a hype job and a bum because he was #2 HW and was KO’ed vs the #1 Heavyweight.
Lomachenko has always been a mediocre pro boxer and not a great pro boxer because he lost to Salido and Teofimo Lopez.
What fans are essentially telling these pro boxers (who read your stupidity) is that you can not be good and lose fights. In order to be good or great, or properly rated, you have to have an 0. Or else you are overrated and was never good and you just got exposed.
The people who say things like “a loss doesn’t matter, it’s how you come back from it”(like me) are not the same people
Who call fighters bums for taking a loss.
I've come to realise that the mentality of a lot of boxing fans, especially on here, isn't to celebrate their favourite fighters' successes or to enjoy the sport for what it is, it's to celebrate and gloat over fighters' failures when they inevitably fall short in some way. That kind of mentality leads to them becoming obsessed and really scraping the bottom of the barrel for reasons to call a fighter a bum, like dragging up losses from a decade or more ago. The best recent example I can think of here was some dude desperately trying to cite the example of Crawford getting hurt and losing some early rounds to Kavaliauskas as a reason for him being a bum, even though he ultimately dominated that fight and won by KO.
I kind of want to see them take it to its inevitable conclusion where they're so desperate for ammunition to use against unbeaten fighters that they'll start going back to their amateur record from when they were like 15 years old. Or hell, maybe that won't be enough. Some time in 2050 on here some guy will make a post like "Sure, Hercules McBoulderfist might be 80 and 0 with 80 knockouts, having been undisputed world champion in 4 weight classes while never losing a round either in the professional or amateur ranks, but here's a video of him crying when he lost his balloon at the funfair when he was 3 years old. This proves beyond doubt that he's a bum and a coward and a weakling."
Alot of it is just saltines and a chance to throw shade at certain Boxers but it's true, too much is made of losses, especially in a sport where one moment can completely change the direction or result of a fight, and a sport where styles clash so much.

Great post!
You're too reasonable to be posting on this forum, though.
