Hello folks,
Now that Deontay seems finished with twerking at the roadside, and making up outrageous egg weight conspiracy theories, it is time for him to get on with his career. Who would you like to see him fight next? Does he deserve an immediate rubber match, after getting outclassed in I, and totally battered in II? Or does he need to get in line and earn a III?
Personally I would like to see him fight someone new. Someone in form and knocking on the door. If he wants to go after the WBC, that could be the winner of Alexander Povetkin vs. Dillian Whyte II. Other options would be Efe Ajagba, WBC #13, or Michael Hunter, WBC #11. How about the winner of Daniel Dubois (WBC #7) vs. Joe Joyce (WBC #11)? Andy Ruiz Jr., WBC #4, or Oleksandr Usyk, WBC #2?
1. Wilder vs Fury
2. Wilder vs Joshua
3. Wilder vs Ruiz Jr
4. Wilder vs Kownacki
5. Wilder vs Povetkin
6. Wilder vs Parker
7. Wilder vs Usyk
in that order
If Wilder fights Fury next so be it but I don't see it as a fight he wins. Personally I'd like to see him and AJ in the ring together and this is a fight he can win.
I wanna see him fight Andy Ruiz, Michael Hunter or Oscar Rivas, but he'll probably face Arreaola, Helenius or Kownacki or even worse competition sadly.
Welder was too silent and they didn't negotiate the third fight, that is definitely on him ands team.
They have no where to go to secure a big fight. The same thing can be said about Fury. Fury can get the winner of the AJ but he will have to wait and there is not guarantee that those negotiations will go a the first try.
Happy to see him in with anybody, just good to have him fight again, I give him endless abuse on here but I never miss his fights he is a character and fun to watch.
Out of decency though I'd like to see Fury freeze him out though. He's said too much crap to deserve a 3rd fight, he should of took his loss like a man and not a spoilt brat.
No he absoloutley does not deserve a rubber match, no way in hell. I can't think of anyone less deserving of a rematch. It'd be like saying Liston deserved a 3rd fight with Ali
As for who I want to see him fight, someone young, big, hungry and can punch.
Tony Yoka, Hrgovic, Dubois vs Joyce winner
Who will we actually see him fight? Some PBC bum with no chin.
This. No way he deserves ****. His reaction to a whooping was the worst reaction to a defeat in boxing history, maybe even the worst example of a sore loser in sports history.
He should fight Dillian Whyte. 60/40 purse split in Whytes favour due to wilders team dicking him around for years.
He doesn’t deserve a rematch.
He had 8 months to pipe up and say he wants to fight but he went into hiding and then come out when the contract expired. That tells you how much he wants it.
And he simply can’t beat Tyson Fury anyway
Wilder v Ruiz seems a good fight for both, to put themselves back in the picture.
Going by his previous resume, level and ducking levels... I would say Robert Helenius. Honestly that’s his level. It would be a KO highlight reel and everyone would be on the wagon again. He can then claim he is the one that is been ducked because of powerful right hand....You know the “Speak it, don’t believe it, runaway from it” speech.
In an ideal world...
I’d like to see Fury vs AJ and Wilder vs Povetkin.
Unfortunately I think it’s far more likely to be Fury vs Wilder and AJ vs yet another B/C level guy.
