It’s broken the pre sales PPV record, but no one is saying what those are?
Seems like huge global interest.

Casuals in my office are surprisingly massively pumped by this fight and about 20 of them have pre ordered!
Really I dont know anyone thats even talking about it, but they very big names and the hype emphasis a fight it dont say much about Exhibition, maybe thats why casual digging it and boxing people not so much.
No doubt
Just saying that personally I don’t know anybody that seems that interested in buying it, so I’m surprised it’s doing record numbers, but no doubt it will do big numbers

Tyson is a huge draw

I was set on not ordering it but after seeing a few videos of the Paul guy and Nate Robinson going at it on interviews been tempting me to get it just to see them go at it lol
Jake Paul is really growing on me. He is a natural trash talking douche bag so he is great at hyping a fight. Out of all of the YouTube guys he is the most skilled and dedicated while being the most realistic. I hope he gets the KO because I want to see him against KSI.
This is all part of marketing... It puts it out there to make people actually talk and buy the fight. Has anyone ever heard of pre-PPV sales from any promoters over the last 5 years?
Multiple promoter's usually used the word tracking as opposed to PRE-PPV sales.

It does claim digital PPV pre-sales not PPV pre-sales overall. And there is a difference.
Hell they haven't even been doing digital PPV sales widely all that long for big fights. So basically it's impressive but not THAT impressive. And I'd guess the # to beat was low & fairly recent.
It sounds great and all but it's probably not even a high number. Something like 5-10k.
I can't tell if this is a serious post. A lot of you guys on here must be much younger as i'm often scratching my head when people on here mention "stacked undercard" regarding PPV.
Exactly which fights on this card do you think are good?
Sorry by stacked I mean a lot of fights are now happening before the main event?
Im kinda a bit skeptical on this, Im not hearing anyone talking about it and know of nobody that is buying it, May McTap was heavily promoted and everybody was talking about, will see soon.
Can be ploy to push sales, like hurry everybody else is buying you should too.
True, the promo for May v McGregor was huge I remember they had global face offs leading up to it
Just doesn't seem enough buzz for this to sell 4mill + buys, but the public are fickle so who knows, if it does all hell will break loose we will have every name retired fighter doing a exhibition.
If it does 1 mil, it will be a huge success

It's only 3 days away ffs

Who orders a PPV this far out? Things come up. You get invited to watch it elsewhere, girlfriend kicks you out, co main is cancelled due to covid etc.

Makes you wonder how many buys a Prime Tyson would do in this digital era? You’d have to imagine 5m+ with the right dance partner.
Rjjr would have done way better numbers as well
Young Tyson vs Anthony Joshua would sell 5 million ppv I reckon. It’s hard to say though because Tyson’s game was heavily contingent on boxing being a bigger sport and more accessible to the public. Maybe his ceiling would be mcgregor/Floyd level too?
