One could make the argument that prime brook = vernon forest from a skilled pov. The only difference is, vernon was taller, more athletic, and much more rangier. How would this potential bout go. I think Crawford stops vernon in 6.
Yea but spinks never hurt mayorga or even came close to lol. And spinks is probably a better boxer than Bud. He did go all the way to me and gave Taylor a challenge. He just fought like a ***** against mayorga.
Exactly, Spinks never hurt Mayorga but he still beat him. Let's say Bud is 90% of the boxer that Spinks was with 30% more power. That to me would be enough to beat Mayorga.
I'm judging Terrence Crawford's power compared to Cory Spinks, who beat Mayorga. I'm saying that Spinks was a light-hitting southpaw who beat him (Mayorga) and Crawford is a switch-hitter who hits harder than Spinks. I never mentioned anything about Tito Trinidad.

I’m not sure Crawford hits harder than tito and mayorga’s dumbazz gave him free shots. Lol. He eventually was broken down late. Exactly what are we judging Crawford’s power on? A jell brook who was beat on by GGG and Spence? Or Gamboa who was always getting dropped 2 weight classes below 135?

Fair enough, but Crawford also hits a lot harder than Cory Spinks. Mayorga had a chin and power but I think that Crawford is closer to the guys Mayorga lost to than the guys Mayorga beat.

But Spinks didn’t outbox him. He ran(not boxed) and hit the ground a lot to get rest. Mayorga was actually robbed of a knockdown in that fight. Yea he could be outboxed because I actually scored the 2nd fight for Forrest. Horrible decision. But mayorga ain’t postol.

Aside from Vernon Forrest and a faded Fernando Vargas, every other top guy defeated Mayorga convincingly. Mayorga was actually the go-to guy for elites to look good against. If Cory Spinks could outbox him then I have to believe Bud would do the same.

I wouldn't favor him over loma, Thurman, manny, crawford, Spence, Porter, or Lopez
Thurman just lost to a 40 year old WW that faded in the 2nd half of the fight and you’re trying to convince us that he beats Mosley in his 20s who fought for 12 rounds? Lol are you even old enough to remember Mosley at 135 and 147 in his prime?
Wouldn't be top 5 ww in this Era? Gtfoh
Put the crack pipe down its obviously ****ing up your brain cells. Mosley would beat porter,Danny, Thurman TC N ES is a little harder to call but I'd favor prime Mosley over both of them also
Those fighter you named are better.
Forrest is one of those fighters that I wished that he had fought ODLH and Trinidad.
Those fights that he lost to Mayorga took all his momentum away. Also he had too much of a close fight agains Quartey.
It is hard to call this one because styles makes fights.
How!!!! Who did forest beat? Mosley? Mosley wouldn't even be a top 5 we in this era

But Mayorga knocked Forest out and then outpointed him so Forest did not go 24 rounds with Mayorga and Forest never outboxed Mayorga either because he lost on points to Mayorga in the rematch.
Right. Someone needs to punch that guy....
now that i think about it, would be a great fight.
like Brook, Forrest had a good jab and right hand 1-2 combo.
but Forrest was also a good inside fighter, better than brook on the inside anyway.
hard to say who would win though.
I'd go with Bud.
He's too vicious and accurate with his shots.
He's got power in both hands and is too much for Vernon I think to handle.
He really is underrated if anything imo. Just a great talent
Crawford was getting tagged by the jab from both washed up Brook and peg legged Jose Bumavidez. Crawford's defense is lacking to say the least. Crawford was dropped by Eurobum Mean Machine and put on queer street by inactive and blown up Gamboa. I believe Crawford has a weak chin. I think he went and re-signed with Top Rankand ESPN exclusivity to duck the top guys because of his weak chin. Forrest dropped prime Mosley. Forrest was a big welterweight. Mayorga hits harder than Crawford imo and I would also pick Mayorga to stop Crawford. Crawford is vastly overrated and over hyped for his trash resume. He beats a washed up former champ and idiots say he's better than SRL. Until Crawford beats an elite welterweight he shouldn't be picked to beat or even mentioned with proven guys.

Mosley wouldn't even be top 5 at 135, 140, and 147
what do you mean he wouldn't?
he WAS top 5.
maybe you don't remember or didn't follow boxing back then, but he was the man at lightweight before jumping up to welterweight for the Delahoya fight.
then he became the man at welterweight as well.
he was considered pound for pound one of the best champions at the time along with Trinidad and Roy Jones.
