Sure its not Mayweather defence But tbh there's not a great fighter currently at Welterweight that's going to exploit that. Pacquiao is probably the best mix of offence and defence at 147 but is far past peak and is essentially a part-time boxer who deserves to cash out. Outside of Pacquiao there's Porter who is likely going to make it a close fight, exactly like Thurman/Spence fights, simply because of his style Spence is hittable also, and both can bang. Its what makes it exciting. Yet I get the hint from this thread that this somehow favours Spence, when it favours them both Garcia is, well Garcia. and Thurman doesn't currently seem interested in the sport. There's nobody else really in the division

Crawford's defense is bad. Everyone has better opponents than Crawford. But no one want to fight him. This is the same BS with Shields and Jermall Charlo. As surprising as that KO was....(Was wrong about Brook giving Crawford his 'toughest' fight) Brook and the previous guy(can't pronounce his name), laid the blueprint of how to beat him(right straights and combinations). Sure he knocked them out BUT what will happen when Crawford fights a guy who isn't bothered by power, has good right straits and is still there toe to toe? I get the feeling Spence(if he still prime) and Pac would be his kryptonite Pac is 42. Crawford ****s him up. Depending on what Spence has left, we will have to wait and see. He can be outbox that’s for sure, but I don’t know if anyone at 147 that has the skill set and discipline to do it. Spence can box, but he’s not elite. His game is to break you down with body shots on the inside. Bud is going to continue to look dominant, but only because his opponents aren’t good enough to take advantage of his flaws.

Right, meanwhile Spence is fighting Danny freaking Garcia :rofl::rofl: Crawford beat Brook with one solid punch, crumpled him like a tin can. Bud would have Spence re-living flashbacks from that car wreck with the first punch landed. Spence don't have what it takes, that's why he's fighting across the street against guys who are too afraid to fight Pacquiao. Garcia is better than Bud's last 10 opponents combined, do you really think he cemented his legacy by beating Horn, a damaged Brook or that last Lithuanian guy who's name we don't even remember or can pronounce? People said the same thing with khan vs Canelo, you dont have to win every round you just have to win the fight. That's the sad part, the opposition is so weak and harmless he can get away with catching clear shots for many rounds and not worry about getting KO'd.

I bet on Brook because those odds are too good to pass up, but this fight went kind of how I expected it to. Crawford was getting tagged clean and repeatedly, he switched to get a different angle he was still getting hit tagged clean repeatedly but he had a better angle to get over the top of Brook's jab and caught Brook with a punch he never saw coming. Brook lives and dies by that one-two of his so if you can neutralize the one or at least be able to counter with your own you'll break him down eventually. Still Crawford's defense is his offense most of the time because just like in the Mean Machine fight and the Benavidez(the first part of the fight at least) fights he was getting hit clean a lot as well and Brook had Crawford's eyes swelling up.

How can you call a p4p fighter not overly good? Actually forget that what about since Bud came up to 147 hes knocked out 4 out of 4 opponents. probably a combination of him aging and brook having some boxing skills despite being shot. crawford had good defense against horn but he is many levels above horn. he had complete control and turned him to where he needed, took very little damage.
