Everyone says that Pac peaked in 2009 when he beat Cotto, what version of Mayweather do you believe is the best version of him? We know the 38 year old version who fought Pac was out of his prime. I believe Mayweather was his best during the Hatton fight. That version of Mayweather will not lose to any welterweight in history outside of SRL.
140 is when he last had decent power. from 130-140 is where he had his best offensive fights
at 147 when he still had amazing reflexes and focused more on defense, he was good defensively before but he really tightened it up. I agree with the other guy saying some guys dont really have a clear peak as he had a pretty big shift as a fighter and it probably depends on what you value more.
definitely baldomir. no one thought he would take a massive risk like that against a killer and he's like oh yeah you think im ducking this killer? i'll show you!
To me it was during the Pretty Boy years before his hands turned to tightly compacted sand. God he was a pleasure to watch then. I know he had to adjust his style he just became very boring to me.
Both Maidana fights were rigged fake fights. Maidana needed the big payday, he was at the end, so he was hired to play soft for 24 rounds and was paid handsomely.
Only a fool thinks Haymon and Phloyd would have risked losing a real fight to Maidana when they had the showtime espinoza guaranteed money to buy him off with.
Sorry pal, you got dope a roped.
I meant the Pacquiao fight.
Not too sure. maybe Hatton. Maybe Canelo. Defensive fighters have an older peak because they rely less on athleticism, and with more advanced age they gain a greater edge on younger opponents as they gain greater mastery of defence.
Floyds entire defensive style depended on athleticism..you ever see an nonathletic person trying to defend like Floyd??? go look at Oscar trying to shoulder roll and you see what I mean
Physical peak: possibly the late 90’s to early 2000’s.
His peak performance year as a fighter though was 2013 for me, he was so much better from an IQ perspective later in his career.
I think it’s probably before that but I always said that was the last fight of his prime.
After that fight, his legs never looked quite the same in my
opinion. They were still very good but just not quite as great as before, the spring was gone slightly.
I agree. He looked amazing but after, legs weren't there.
Still great defene
My favorite version of Floyd was against N’Dou, Angel Manfreddy and Diego Corrales R.I.P
Don’t know if that’s his peak but that was May at his best. Phenomenal talent.
I would say Marquez

- -I'd say when he was trying to choke Maidana with the assistance of Bayliss to end up illegally stopping time by running to his crack daddy squallin' about his pinky finger.
Poor Bayliss!
Bruseles..
I agree, he put in a virtuoso like performance. Challenged anyone under 154 that night by his word of mouth, was talking football during the fight to lamps. At one point Larry said point blank "arright so Mayweather is fighting a virtuoso type fight."
