Floyd is top 10 all time in terms of pure skill.

Just watched Mayweather Gatti yesterday. He’s really not that good (top 10, skillwise). Hearns, Leonard, Duran etc are all more skilled than him. Floyd also slaps. And I can’t think of a top tier great that slaps.

Based on his talent, and accolades, yes, just. Based on his resume, no chance, barely gets into the top 50 for me

Pure skill? Yeah, he's walked fools down, he's been untouchable, and everything in between. Floyd's list of champions and former champions is massive. Dude really has nothing to prove anymore. People who hate are going to no matter what he does. I rate Floyd p4p GOAT and while plenty here will scoff and bring up some old ****er none of them ****s are ever in history section so that alone ought to cue you in on how knowledgeable and interested they are in the historical figures they claim are better than Floyd. That is mainly because there is no true way on how to compare to fighters from the way back era when things where black and white because they did not have access to the refined fundamentals. As far as the modern era goes from the 70's and onward I would personally have him #1 Sure his offense did not looks as spectacular or his defense did not look as flashy. But for me, as a spectator who was competed as a youth for years. I see someone who has everything so refined that it looks like they are in cruise control. He had so many world class boxers hesitant and unsure of what to do because he knew exactly what to do 99% of the time. . - -Be a no account ham and Egger in the 20s - 70s. No credit for cowering in fear on the ropes vs a stronger fighter. No hometown ref and judges. Seen him get beat up to many times.

He's up there for sure. I don't pretend to be a historian, but it's not hard to rank Floyd #1 in pure skill in his era. So top 10 of all-time really isn't too much of a stretch. I'm not a Floyd at all and I think he's an annoying POS, but can't deny his talent and greatness and what he's accomplished in the sport.

he was in the top 10 most boring fighters ive ever seen thats for sure, he could put a glass eye to sleep he has 100 million Knockout records in his career. he put all of his audience around the world to sleep literally.

Agree or disagree? In terms of pure skills he's probably top 5-6. Pernell, Duran, Ray Leonard, Hearns, Nicolino Locchi and Floyd. Cant think of anyone more skilful than those.

Fair point. Swap him for Willie Pep, I think he was more skilled. Pep is definitely in that conversation. So is Benny Leonard. I’d have them two along with Mayweather and the two Sugar Ray’s in my personal top 5. Sweet Pea deserves an honourable mention too.
