Lol I've never heard this say, but that's downright hilarious. Fury was a cherrypick gone really, really wrong for Wilder. He was looking to add a 'lineal' title to help in his negotiations vs. Joshua. Instead, he got outboxed by a fatass, was given the gift of his career in the 1st fight being declared a draw, then proceeded to take a beatdown of his life in the rematch and TKOd.

I don't know why anyone would say that. Wilder fought Fury to make good money and Fury fought Wilder to make good money. Money is what prize fighting is mainly about. Neither did the other a favor. They needed to fight each other for a really big paycheck.

It was a cherry pick, but then again Fury did admit that Wilder's trash talking helped to motivate him to lose the weight and get back in the game. Wilder didn't save his career though, Fury would've come back anyway and he would've made it back to the top regardless due to his outstanding talent. Wilder giving him a shot just made it a faster process than it would've been.

Everyone knows it’s a cherrypick for leverage in negotiations with AJ gone wrong. However, it doesn’t negate the fact that he gave Fury an easy lifeline back to the top and that’s why Fury is so entitled. No is saying he helped Fury because he wasn’t trying to help the guy.
