DAZN USA is dead!!! How will they survive without Canelo?

Covid could rearrange boxing as we know it, and in that could slash the purses that boxers have been getting these last 10 yrs, that would have a big impact on what fights get made, very rough roads ahead I feel.

DAZn should've never got involved with boxing. destined to fail. boxing only has 2-3 good fights a year Yep you nailed it. Anybody or company that wants to jump into boxing and say they will revolutionize or can do it better than anyone else has, doesn’t understand precedent. Boxing has been around for a long long time. Even if all the promoters hate each other they will unite to freeze out the new upstart. It’s always been really hard to make fights let alone super fights. There’s a relativity too it. You can’t make a bunch of “huge fights” in a year by definition. Everybody knew the Canelo deal would fall apart. If a top boxer agrees to your huge multi fight deal then it’s because they know you are overpaying. It’s like DAZN didn’t know boxers were hard to work with either? This isn’t the UFC, which promised to revolutionize boxing too remember? DAZN should get into Formula One next lol

DAZN is a crappy network. You got only 1 big name boxer (AJ), guys who don't want to fight each other (ggg), poor stream quality, overpriced, you have stinkers like chris mannix and his dumb mouth, poor commentary, and poor decision making/planning by making boxing look bad by taking a backseat to a UFC event for canelo/kovalev fight. Just pure failure....

Good, Dazn could use that money to make other fights all around the divisions They dont have many fighters. Its a couple of fights over there that make sense if they wanna make a difference. Haney vs Garcia Andrade vs GGG unification Saunders vs Smith unification Chocolatito vs Estrada 2 Joshua vs Fury unification They gotta make all of these in 2021 to survive. But i only expect 2 of those 5

Thinking about canceling mine. Without Canelo I don’t know if I want to keep giving them my money. Not a big fan of Joshua (I like him ok) so I don’t know. I guess they’ll still have good fights but that two time a year blockbuster that we were getting is gone now That made it a value. Nobody cares about GGG vs Andrade or AJ vs White. Pass on those.

Kinda bitter sweet with Dazn. They started off pretty well as far as quality and quantity of fights but they started slipping at some point and this Pandemic really fked them up. At least their boxing department.

Great Idea, Concept, and nice APP but just Poorly executed as far as its Introduction to the American Market! When trying to break into a Market, grab so Locals to help you do that, do not send over a Foreigner to try and take over a market they know absolutely nothing about! Should've partnered with DiBella who helped build HBO Boxing into what is was, maybe reach out to Arum, Haymon even Oscar and GBP...should've started with those guys FIRST instead of sending over Eddie Hearn with a big budget and a big EGO assuming that all he had to do with dangle money in fighters faces and they would come running. Sure he got some but he could never land the fighters he really wanted and had to Settle for Tevin Farmer, Andrade and guys like thatn when he couldn't get Tank Davis, Charlo Brothers and other fighters he promised he would take away from PBC Well 2 Years Later this Video Aged Poorly! :lol1: Wasted away $1 Billion and DAZN doesn't have the subscription base to show for it :dunno:

They don't need that hole any more, they opened up around the world now where Boxing fans are Boxing fans not just Xenophobic American Boxing fans that have no interest in what the rest of the world has to offer.
