That is obvious now. Chisora is not a puncher. Old Chisora tired Usyk and went distance with him.
Usyk`s only hope is fighting Parker for a free WBO belt.
Please, Wilder beats Usyk badly. Usyk would outbox Wilder 7-0 in rounds, than Wilder stops him badly in 8th round.
usyk was in trouble every time Chisora landed something a little harder. Imagine what would Fury do to Usyk?
Usyk is the new David Haye. Unfortunately, there is no Valuev around nowadays.
Usyk will have some success against Hunter ( he already beat him), maybe Parker, maybe Whyte.
No chance Usyk beats somebody strong like Wilder, Fury, Joshua, DDD, Joyce, Ruiz, Ortiz.
Even Helenius probably knocks him out with his heavy hands.
I think his footwork and precision are by far the best in the division. He moves like a lightweight. That said, even though he's never been down, he doesn't seem to have a great chin or a big punch, which are two things that you can't really do without if you're going to dethrone the division kingpins. I do think I'd pick him to win against most current heavyweights, but not Joshua or Fury, and those are the guys he needs to beat to win the belts.
But Chisora doesn’t punch that hard tho.
18 stone professional boxers can punch, mate.
Yes, Usyk will take worse against an AJ or Fury. But he showed he can take a big, average puncher's power. Even if slightly uncomfortably.
Dude these british commentators are pretty ridiculous.. After the third rd Chisaora had a couple hards body shots and the occaisional lazy jab but other than that only Usyk had crisp landing on target shots that hurt. I dont know what people were watching. He should have followed it up and taken to Chisora more to not leave it in the air at all but generally he basically owned it even if he didn't quite take it home in the 2nd half.
After one round I'd discounted Usyk from doing anything at heavyweight, even if I still thought he'd win this fight.
Now I'm undecided again. Clearly he can take a punch from a big man, but not much was that clean from Del.
Answered a few questions but plenty still left. He didn't quite look like a heavyweight.
On the scoring, I can see why Chisora thinks he won. He won the first two clear, the next two were close (he'll feel he won them, I thought they split them) and there were two or three after his second wind where he pushed the pace.
I had it pretty comfortably to Usyk though. He just did all the cleaner work. Even scores after 6 and Usyk won every round from the halfway point - 9-3.
no way he won. You have to work really hard to give him a draw. usyk lit him up in the final half of the fight. hurt him multiple times.
I do agree with the threadstarter though, Usyk is a KO waiting to happen at heavyweight. Just not big enough for the division. He will beat guys like Takam, will go live and death with Parker but iwll get wrecked by fury. he might outbox joshua and Wilder for a while before getting caught.
If I was deontay i'd be trying to get this fight.
Got to be a 12 rounder or wilder will owe Haymon money.

Let him get his money man
Am I the only one that thinks Chisora won?
