Listen, boxing's been so boring i've been wanting to gauge my own eyes out, but meanwhile UFC has been murdering the game in the entirety of 2020 and particularly during lockdown.
Look at these PPV numbers:
UFC 254 - 675k. Legend Khabib retired
UFC 253 - 700k (Adesanya)
UFC 251 - 1.3m (Masvidal vs Usman)
UFC 249 - 700k (Gaethje vs Ferguson)
UFC 246 - 1m (McGregor)
Boxing can barely pull a couple of guys together these days, I mean fuk me Lopez vs Lomachenko was watched by 1272 people according to good sources.
Last night was very good for boxing tbf between the PBC, Top Rank and Matchroom cards. I watched the UFC as well and that was good too, but all in all this was one of the occasional weekends where the hype was with boxing.
Lol at people defending boxing who don't even buy PPVs. And they call themselves boxing fans.
Are you going to buy tonight's PPV card, Davis vs LSC? You are supposed to, aren't you?
All boring fights accept the Ferg vs gathje. Masvidal fight had hype but man it was a snoozer.
Agree the cards have some more entertainment for casuals though, mostly.
Lol
Khabib looked like a dumbass trying to strike he looked like a fucckin zombie rushing forward for the TD his striking is atrocious.
Dude literally dry humps ppl to submission gayest ****ttt ever.
His stand up is **** technically but he did manage to drop Conor and he arguably outstruck Gaethje as well. He seems to have a good chin and people are so preoccupied ****ting themselves over his wrestling pressure that he can get away with it.
I thought it was a hugely impressive performance tbh. He even went easy on Gaethje because he likes him. He didnt land any GNP when he could have and then just willingly gave up top position to pull the triangle to end it.

NSB will surely miss you :(
I'm discussing your toxic thread where you are trying to impose your thoughts on boxing as if others should believe what you are saying just because that is what YOU believe is happening.
I don't know any true boxing fan that has abandoned boxing for UFC at all. In fact, only CASUALS would do that because they don't know wtf they're watching other than if it's trending, it makes sense to watch and join the band wagon.
If you are a true boxing fan, you've been through it all and know the politics that are involved. You are willing to go through that for every once in awhile an epic bout. Those are worth holding onto the sport for.
Just because boxing doesn't always give you a 100% boner on every match, doesn't mean it's bad and you need to watch another sport because it's trending on Twitter...
I love when insecure little pvssies talk about "true boxing fans". :lol1:
Hilarious.
Only fights I saw were Adesanya and Masvidal.
Your post was a waste of a torn condom.
You didn't watch Khabib? Then you're just missing straight greatness.
Nobody is telling you what you should like.
if you don't want to discuss this tread then leave. simple as that to quote tony bellew.

Does there even need to be sides though? You can be a general combat sports fan who prefers the UFC but still follows boxing intently.
If a person is yelling ''UFC/MMA is superior to boxing and boxing is about to die !!!!''
That person should be ''forced'' to switch sides.

It’s probably a case of nostalgia, but I feel like the majority of good fights I wanted to see, used to happen. Basically from the late 90s to late 2000s was my favourite period for boxing. Honestly, I’ve never been less of a fan than I am right now. This is more common than you might think. As we get older, we get tired of all the bs belts, orgs, belts, belt dumps, avoiding because so and so doesn’t have a name. The sport screws itself.
Same. I consider myself a casual MMA fan & a hardcore boxing fan. So I enjoy boxing more. I've always found all combat sports entertaining doe.
I just wish boxing worked more like the UFC outside the ring. That's my biggest pet peeve with boxing, it's great in the ring & southern fried sh^t outside the ring.

If Eddie Hearn gets his way it will. He looks to Dana like a god for what's he's done in MMA. He wants to be the one to do that for boxing.

Its got a larger talent pool, but I bet the gap has narrowed massively over the last 15 years and probably continues to close.
I look across boxing and see 5-7 genuine world class fighters/talent.
Across the sport.
There's 3 genuine stars.
I mean, it's slim pickings.
did you just say more talent.
damn talk about living under a rock

lol this old conversation, Boxing is here to stay it the superior sport; more fans; more money; more talent; more interest;
PLUS you cant ever trust those numbers, UFC is not a publicly traded company so they do not have to reveal their real numbers at all. The network boxing host it shows on are, so they do. Reason why Dana White got so mad and upset with Stephen Espinoza because Episonza released the numbers for Mayweather vs McGregor when Dana was trying to lie about it doing way better than the already great numbers it did.
