Linares landed himself a bout in which the winner would fight the champ Uchiyama. Linares got KO'ed in the first round. Moved up and fought a few fights at lightweight before fighting DeMarco for a vacant belt (Yes same DeMarco that made Broner elite). Tough fight which he did pretty well in until getting stopped in the late rounds. Next fight he got stopped in the 2nd round by Thompson Fought a few fights, built himself up again, then flew to the UK to get a belt. 1 dollar Crolla and Campbell's soup. Campbell's toughest challenge outside of Loma came from multi-ko victim Linares who booked a ticket to scour the world for belt holders that weren't big punchers.

Bar none Rigo and Walter's beat donaire at different weights and in different circumstances.. the comparison makes no sense. Walter's wasnt shelved for a year before fighting nonito Rigo was at a closer weight to where hes naturally at when he fought him as well and he was excited to get a big fight.. he wasnt leapfrogging to weights to try and cash out due to lack of big fights.. The linares and russell fights were two solid wins at their natural weights against two guys at or at least close to the top of their games. And in linares case he was bigger then Loma, those are some dope ass wins

If Campbell beats Garcia, people will just say Golden Boy rushed him, because it is a big jump in levels. I don’t think Campbell gains a great deal of credit if it happens because that’ll be the narrative. We still don’t really know how good Garcia is. I guess if Garcia does beat Campbell handily, it might not look great for Loma in the eyes of some, seeing as Campbell give him a competitive fight.

Loma doesn’t need a manager that will protect him and his career. He needs someone that will allow him whoever he wants to fight. Maybe this Lopez loss is a blessing in disguise for him. Floyd doesn't baby boxers. You have the wrong perspective about Davis. Loma is at the end of his career and someone like Floyd or Robert Garcia can help him. I don't care either way.

I agree 100% that’s what greats do. But like I said these EE fighters have proven to do the opposite ggg, Kova etc and it’s because of there entitled mentality. From the getgo they were hyped by the media as the greatest thing since slice bread without earning it, that’s what there use to now and they have not shown they can change that mentality. Loma is no different there smug arrogant mentality will not allow them to improve themselves. Kovalev was great. I don't use that easily. He was the whole package all around and didn't avoid fights. He was a man with passion and personality.
