Fury's last trainer Ben Davison gives a fight breakdown which concentrates more on the things Loma did wrong. He's a big Loma fan (in his own words) but he does admit that Lopez had better boxing fundamentals on the night and proved to be the superior boxer. According to Davison though, Loma's work was "very poor" on the night and he made a number of critical mistakes both in game plan and performance.
Loma gave away the first 7 rounds by retreating and throwing so few punches. when Loma finally started trying to win rounds he outboxed Lopez in round 8 9 10 and 11 to win all of those rounds. Lopez had a great 12th round and won that round with a hard attack of 106 punches by the punch count. I think Lopez is a decent boxer but no master boxer. Lopez's fast hands and two handed punching power are more what make him so than his boxing skills. Lopez does have good punching accuracy and timing. Loma fought the stupidest and worse fight he has fought in his pro career and was still a better boxer than Lopez in 4 of the last 5 rounds.
He has, loma has nothing except his silly foot work and those silly soft jabs.
But foot work won't help you if you don't have the fundamentals.
I always said that anyone who puts pressure on loma he will look like the average fighter he is.
He lacks a good jab, he lacks a good strong right..not able to land body punches, he might landed one against linares but we all know linares either threw the fight or he's really a soft bi****
Just think about it, the guy has a 14-2 record yet some of you make him look like he has a 41-2 record.
Lopez gets lit up with his head in place man. He doesn’t know how to put his hands up. Headmovement, hands up These are the most basic of fundamentals. You don’t have to fight with your hands up, but you have to know how and when to put your guard up, how to move, and especially pivot which Lopez does not do (at least not to the left), he fights like a statue.
Lopez doesn’t even know how to use the phillyshell properly. Literally Lopez’s defense, besides bending to the right, is counter-punching. He just keeps you from beating him up by punching between your punches (i.e counterpunching) to stop your assault, and with superior speed and power he can get away with it for the most part. But no. His fundamentals are dog sht. Even if you think he has decent technical skills.
See how much more fundamentally sound Lomachenko is.

Proper headmovement, balance, proper guarding, chin tucked, cutting off the ring. All in a few seconds.
No he doesn’t. Insane thing to say.
Lopez’s fundamentals are actually poor. Let alone comparing them to Loma’s.
Super athletes can get away with sht fundamentals. For awhile.

No hes just sharper, bigger and hits harder with good boxing skills
Thats enough to beat Loma, look how much trouble he had with Luke Campbell
Yes I agree with this, but also? Lomachenko to start with, is not on the same level of Floyd Mayweather or even Bernard Hopkins.
If his skills where that good, he would of beaten Lopez 'Lopez is no giant inside of the ring'.
