I just finished the fight. Holy ****. I thought it would be a Salido job with head butts and low blows. Lots of clinching.
Lopez legit outboxed Loma behind a jab. Lmfao. Wtf
I'm disgusted with people on here. pure Loma haters and delusional as fkuck. It was razor close fight when Loma won second half of the fight. HOW the fkuck these morons here agree with 11-1... This is ridiculous
Fake fans see what they want to see. Real fans see reality. Lopez did win, by two rounds. Was Loma scared early? No but the strategy did not work. If he started a little earlier then things may have been different. The two wide cards? Typical boxing nonsense. Either corruption or incompetence, or a little of both!
Lomas game plan was to let Lopez punch himself out and finish the fight late.
They tried to rope a dope but couldn't finish the fight when it counted. Outboxed? No. That was definitely part of the gameplan evident by what came out of Lomachenkos corner.
When Lomachenko chose to box he won the rounds far wider than Teo did. Many of the rounds he was was due to Lomas inactivity.
That jab you're talking about disappeared real quick down the line.
Rounds 8-11 Loma was landing at will is a testament to this fact. Didnt you see Lopez legit punch Loma in the dick to stop the assault? Lol.

he won a decision in boxing by using the criterias of boxing. no fouling or dirty tactics.
he outboxed Loma. fact.
He also had cards going for him because politics always push for the local fighter and/or the hyped young fighter, this reminds me of Oscar vs Pernell.
Uncle bob was throwing Loma away anyway, Loma is over the hill.
I had a draw, I thought Loma won the 2nd and the 7th.
So did Bud (he had a draw) and Ward I think.
No boxing lesson or whatever.
No he didn't, this fight was closed, most of Teo punches were not accurate or/and on Loma's gloves.
Boxing fans and judges are morrons,

That’s nonsense, he might have expected to do good work late in the fight but nobody‘s game plan is to go 7 rounds behind after 7 lol.
He simply ran into a guy that was able to control a distance better than anybody he ever faced and the sharpness, accuracy and power to make him second-guess himself.
This is high level boxing, you don’t just get to use angles and throw punches you want without high level work coming back at you. Loma realised that early in the fight and was a bit lost.
In round 12, Lopez started ****ing him up when Loma tried to put it on him. That’s what would’ve happened early in the fight if he tried to do that, and that’s why he fought so negatively.
Exactly........

What fcked Loma up is the difference of power.
It looks like Teo hits twice harder than Loma. IT'S WIDE. And that's what made Loma so shy and TBH, Teo used that asset perfectly and intelligently.
It's OK to beat a much bigger puncher when the puncher can't box (see Fury vs Wilder) but Teo can box, hard fight for Loma.
So Loma had to take solid risks of losing by KO in order to beat Teo, he didn't and prefered to go to a decision. That's a choice, he just lost a 5-7 rounds close decision (despite what the **** cards say), not the end of the world.
Loma has been a slow starter and getting lit up early in most of his 135 fights, time to think abou his style or moving down to 130.
I think Loma felt that power early and went into his shell.
He only started committing when Lopez got a bit tired and started losing the snap on his punches.
yeah i dunno about that, if he was so shook to engage why was he teeing off after round 7/8? they clearly had a very very poorly executed game plan. because when he was actually throwing lopez was like a rabbit in the headlights.
Lopez wasnt actually doing anything special, all he did was......throw punches, most of his punches were not landing flush but you still win rounds when the other guy does **** all for over half the fight.
he started pulling the trigger when Lopez slowed down a bit.
part of outboxing is fainting. his faints froze up Loma. Loma was tentative because he knows Lopez is fast enough to counter.
like Canelo did to Kov.

He didnt really though did he, loma just refused to throw anything until what...round 7/8? very odd gameplan, did they really think they could ko lopez on the home stretch?

They were trying to have Teofimo punch himself out and almost knocked him out in the 11th because of that fact?
They were smart enough to not force dangerous exchanges with a bigger puncher early?
These are all tried and true tactics but if you wanna be a fanboy thats okay. Congrats.
Anatoly was even quoted mid rounds telling Lomachenko to be patient. Was 8-11 patient? They had a plan. It wasn't a good one.
If Loma was so confused he wouldn't have won the rounds he did in the dominant fashion he did. Did Lopez win any rounds as clean as Lomachenkos worse round he won? Nope.
Lopez won rounds by landing a few shots here and there during them. Lomachenko won by landing full blown combinations.
But man again. If you wanna be a fanboy go ahead. Let's pretend that that 119-110 score card was legit and call it a day.
I’m not a fan boy haha I was pretty much a neutral but the fact is Lopez made Loma gun shy earlier.
Even if your plan is to come on strong later, you don’t go 7 rounds in a hole and you try to chip away early
He got outboxed in the first 7 rounds, then he made some adjustments and had some success. Lopez also adjusted to Loma towards the end and started hurting Loma in round 12
Loma got outboxed and outsmarted in the majority of the fight, it is what it is. It’s high level boxing, you run into guys that can dictate what they wanna do too and not have it all your own way. Happens to most fighters.

His boxing skills, sharpness and IQ were much better than Loma anticipated.
There was an interview with Loma saying he saw everything he needed to in the first round of Lopez v Commey. Even before the fight I felt that was a very bad mindset.
That arrogance and the fact he bought into the hype he’s some real boxing genius made him forget that he isn’t the only very good fighter in the ring.
