This is what we wanted. This is what boxing needs.
Fighters willing to face the best of their divisions as soon as they become world champions. Without "I'm too green" excuses. Without waiting for other fighters to take a loss or get old.
We need the fights between the best guys on every division. Lopez actively looked forward and made preassure to fight Lomachenko. Even if he's still a bit green, even if Loma is better than him, he doesn't care. He wants to fight him. Even without public and without it being on PPV, in the middle of the pandemic.
What's the problem with that? it's great man. Just great.
Stop hating and enjoy the fight between two great aggressive fighters that will come to fight and not to clinch.
There's a minority that will hate no matter what.
For sure. The guy is young but he worked hard and basically went from prospect to champion in 2019. He made himself the #2 guy in the division and is testing himself against an elite talent at 23 years old. Idk what's not to like about that.
I really think the second half of this fight is going to be hard on him though.
Teo absolutely deserves his shot, he earned his place and he's shooting for the strotsphere which is what I want to see very fighter do. Honestly can't see why anyone wouldn't like the fact the fights happening even if they ain't big fans of Teo personally. Myself whilst I think the kid's a bit of an asshat, that's pretty much what a young hungry fighter's gonna be most of the time, all balls and ego... s'like, so what? We into shrinking violets now?:dunno:
Having said all that what I'm expecting to see is Teo increasingly out of his depth as Loma finds his rhythm and starts to work Teo out. Gonna be a huge test of Teos character to see whether he can keep his composure under pressure and under fire... if he can he might still have a chance to land something in the later rounds, but honestly I'm thinking it's more liklely we start to to see an increasingly frustrated and dispirited fighter as the bout wears on.
I just hope that if Lopez does lose, he doesn’t let it or his dad get to him. Take it as a learning experience and move on. That said, let’s rumble, and may the best man win.

But people have been hating.... Especially on Loma, who most likely will get zero credit from those same guys
He won't get credit. The Loma haters definitely won't give him credit and by what some of the Loma fan's are saying Lopez sucks and talks too much so maybe they shouldn't give him credit either. :dunno:
Not how I see it but boxing fans are strange people.
I don't like Lopez much. I don't like rude people, or disrespectful people, or braggarts.
But that doesn't mean I can't respect his willingness to get in there with the best. I tend to forgive loudmouths if they back up what they say. A good example is Carl Froch. He rubbed me the wrong way for a long time because he was disrespectful and ran his mouth. But he won me over with gutsy performances and not ducking anyone.

Great attitude bro and i completely agree.
Hats off to Lopez for wanting this fight and respect to Loma doing what no other fighter besides maybe Taylor is doing at the moment.
Its a win for the fans.

I actually agree with you for once. Good post, Vlad_.
Yes, Lopez deserves infinite credit for what he is doing. In one big swoop he's changing the sport. He is doing something fraud weather, canelo, spence, wilder, davis, all refused to do. He is challenging the BEST at the height of his power.
If only all those aforementioned names did what Lopez is doing now. Those aforementioned names all ruined and shamed the sport with their business ducking and fraud excuses. Lopez is saving the sport. Much respect for this by Lopez. Making boxing great again. He is not better than Spence in any way and Spence does not trash, insult and disrespect his opponents. Spence went straight to England to beat Brook and has tried for years to fight Thurman. In his last two fights Spence beat champion Mikey and champion Porter and now after a bad car wreck he fights top contender and dangerous Garcia. If Mr we're taking over Lopez wants to try to take over 147 Spence will gladly give him a beating and a KO loss. MAN DOWN. LOPEZ DOWN!
Stop hating yourself. I hate the bragging disrespectful ass hole and will continue to hate him no matter how well he fights and no matter how many good fighters he knocks out. I hate his dad too. Nothing personal but I hate all ass holes and he and his dad are big time ass holes. If he ever stops being an arrogant disrespectful ass hole then I will stop hating him. It matters not because he does not know me or care what I think of him. I hate Broner and Khan for the same reasons. I am hoping for a Loma KO win. If Lopez wins he and his dad will become bigger ass holes than ever if that is possible. I like and respect most boxers and only dislike a very few. I respect Lopez as a very good or possibly a great fighter but not as a person.
Brook was a good win but Spence went into the Haymon shell ever since.
Fraud ruined the sport in America, ruined the PPV model, ruined two major networks. Fraud and Canelo are both protected counterfeit pretender frauds. Fraud weather has even confessed twice on video he's a coward and he's ok with it. Irreperable damage to the sport, now thank God Loma and Lopez are rescuing the sport. Canelo ducked GGG for 3 years and then bought him off in their two fake fights.
Green ass Lopez >>> Floyd and Canelo. Ok, got it!
In dance moves of course.
I just hope that if Lopez does lose, he doesn’t let it or his dad get to him. Take it as a learning experience and move on. That said, let’s rumble, and may the best man win.

My guy....my dude....Can u post without bringing up frauds...m it's getting old.... We get it... They frauds and you smoke meth
Why is everything classed as “hating” as soon as some criticism gets put on people nowadays lol. I don’t like the guys attitude and hope he gets knocked out end of but it’s going to be a good fight so I’m glad as a boxing fan.

lol stop being so damn dramatic. First off, Lopez might get brutally stopped for his troubles although courageous. Floyd is an ATG and Canelo is on his way to a hall of fame career. So now Lopez is putting them to shame who might just be cashing out? :lol1: Spence went to the UK and beat Brook early in his career, what the hell are you even talking about, man? Only valid one is Tank.
Wilder was a world champion, too. We saw what happened.
I'm just saying, man. Being a champion doesn't mean what it used to mean, so we need to stop using that as an excuse.
All we can go on is resume - and by resume, I said it before. I like true 50/50 fights. I would have rather seen Lopez go up against Ryan Garcia. THAT is a 50/50 fight. This? No.
Yeah we saw what happened with Wilder. He lost. Guess what, most of the time someone losses and someone wins... Duh.
Going to my ignore list so that you can't comment on my threads, you're an assh0le.
I agree, I love his attitude at gunning for the absolute best at such a young age. We need more of this. Devin Haney and Ryan Garica would never dare take a fight against Lomachenko unless he looked washed up. Hell, not even Tank who is established and experienced wanted any.
Lopez taking this fight is something you only see in the UFC.
When it all boils down this is legit a 50/50 fight. We rarely or never really get these. Let’s just enjoy this one. I find it so hard to pick but I’m picking Teo tko9.
