Nah, I'm certain if he has any regrets it's stabbing Lou Dibella in the back for bringing him a great deal. Had he gone with DAZN, he would have fought Whyte, (insert some easy fight in Hearn's stable), and Joshua by now. Would be far richer and possibly the undisputed HW champ. But we'll never know. How would he have fought Joshua by now? There's no way he could have fought AJ by now. AJ been tied up with the chubby short fat Mexican heavy weight champ for his last 2 fights.

He was one of the longest reigning champions to have not attempted a unification. Shelly doesn't have much shame but even he knew that Wilder needed a credible opponent. Fury represented that, with a claim to a lineal title and an added bonus that he was straight out of the pub. Team Fury knew something that Team Wilder didn't. That's the art of matchmaking. I don't know that he'll regret it. He took a gamble that he thought he had a good chance of winning, and the worst case was that he got two big fights and earned more in them than the rest of his career. He may even get a third big earner out of it. Another alternative was Joshua. More money (at the time) but probably considered higher risk too (at the time). The last option was to continue building up PBC guys for his knockout reel. He'd still be champion, but have nowhere near the money. What he did was better than the PBC option.

he didn't want to test himself. He said it himself that he cherrypicked Fury because of his problems, weight and layoff. But the one who is going to get screwed shall never calculate. It was hilarious how Fury tricked him into admitting that on camera by winding him up during the face to face!

Tyson wanted to fight Joshua, but Hearn told him that he would have to sign to Matchroom/DAZN and would need to fight Kauffman & Whyte first before getting a shot at AJ. Fury didn't want to play second fiddle to Joshua so went his own way. Your sig!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!
