The issue is not the Wilder's Trainer...the problem is HIM!
Being Ignorant is one thing:
ig·no·rant
/ˈiɡnərənt/
Learn to pronounce
adjective
lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated
However, taking Pride In Ignorance and yet you have people around you who know that you're wrong but nobody wants to step up and say something out of fear of losing their job, well that is typically what leads to self destruction and even Resentment from someone like Wilder who won't take responsible but instead will look around for someone to Blame when things don't work out
A Huge Red Flag for me was this comment from him:
In the heavyweight division you can eliminate skills from anybody, even including myself, I don’t need skills. I have power. You’re in the game once you’ve got that power, that equalizer that no matter what at any given time ,” Wilder said.<

The man bought into his own hype and he have fans who don't hold him responsible for anything which is only making things worse. No he won't accept Mayweather or Big George Foreman offers to help him because of that PRIDE
Sorry but Power alone is not going to beat a Fighter like Fury, he is going to need more than that! The trainer won't matter if he doesn't listen!
No one brought up glove gate except you, it was never in this conversation
Wrong. Jay was with Wilder from the start, got him fights so he could afford to pay for his daughter's sickness
He's more than a trainer, he is co-manager and family
Mark Breland agreed to a certain plan before the fight, for each fight over the last few years he was with Wilder, that if anything happened before the 12th round, the ref stops the fight.
Mark made an executive decision when he was told not to, he got fired
Its time for everyone to accept this and stop crying
I hate to see a good man lose his job for doing the right thing.
Meanwhile Jay Deas kept his spot despite offering nothing as a trainer. If you are into Glovegate he was also the one who was in Fury's lockerroom to check his hands get wrapped + gloved up.
MGM Grand has Fury catching a body at 7 to 1.
Worth dropping a hundy on those odds.
That’s ****ing hilarious should be a hint to Wilder to Change Something up because he got messed up last time
I hope for Wilder’s sake that the referee is willing stop the fight at the right time because any trainer now it’s going to be afraid of losing their job for doing it
Wilder might get mad at the ref for stopping it too.

Wilder fell in love with his right hand and forgot he has a
Left hand too!
He used to throw combinations and in the Olympics he used to do feints!
He’s actually digressed as a pro but his self belief, chin, heart and power have made up for what he hugely lacks!
Technically he’s also a very tall cruiserweight as plenty of times he’s weighed at 211 or less pounds so that tells you it shouldn’t have come a surprise that Fury stopped him when he’s much bigger!
Wilder is gonna get stomped in the third fight. All he has is the big right, and fury will slip all night long. And he knows he can be hurt, and will be timid and anxious.
I think fury stops him in four rounds, and the referee will pull the pin

In a way I see Wilder's point - he still felt he had 1 shot in him that could have changed the fight. But it is not fun to be a trainer in that scenario, I imagine. If I were Deas, I would probably tell him straight up that there is a point at which I would throw in a towel, and it is up to you to not get to that point.
And try and talk to him and let him know where that point is. That's all he can really do. But as a man you cannot let your guy take a beating if you know he is done. That trump's whatever bravado BS the guy tells you before the fight. Boxing is not a game.
