Why are Eastern Europeans so good at boxing now a days

Honestly it could be cultural. I'm a big basketball guy and in the U.S we are obsessed with athletics and being flashy, with basketball and boxing it seems like European pros tend to focus more on skills. Kobe voiced that as far as basketball goes and for the most part our Olympic and amateur programs have not been very consistent compared to other countries. Just my take from what I've noticed

what makes them so good, they seem to be on a roll recently. it seems like they came out of nowhere and have been doing amazingly well are their training programs better, are they simply touger then western boxers... What is it They also seem to be conditioned much better as well I dont know what your definition of "good and "amazing" is. The fact that there is only 1 eastern european world champion(Mairis Breidis) in boxing when there are 300 million slavic people says it all. There are currently more world champion from nicaragua LMAO. Whose population is only 6.5 million compared to eastern europes 300 million. Eastern Europeans are very mediocre at best in boxing.

Before that, Soviet boxers were simply not allowed to participate in pro boxing. So a hypothetical Soviet GOAT living during the Soviet reign would not have had an opportunity to compete against Ali etc.

Most fighters that come out of Central Africa are teak tough but just lack skill due to not having the coaching set ups You rarely see a Ghanaian with a glass chin but loads of AA's are packing fragile glass. Ghana is smaller than Texas and Nigeria is about as big as Texas. The Africans we see make it over to the states are the best of the best. In the US we have a variety plus the great coaching/trainers/programs. It’s numbers dude. They don’t lie. Jamaica has 2.5million people but produce the fastest sprinters men and women out of 7billion in the world. It’s because they dedicate insane per capita towards track and field. And trust me they are living first world compared to Most Africans.
