If they're happy with the numbers you'll start seeing numbers leaking today (Tuesday) if they aren't happy with the numbers then you'll hear them Thursday. From what I was told they'll be happy with anything 175k and up. That's on the strength that the two B-sides are not English speakers and they aren't well known.
MCC, thank you for a good honest projection with no hatred or bias.

They won't release them because the numbers are going to be very bad. The Charlo's are not ppv fighters. Their careers have been poorly managed. They have spent the vast majority of their careers fighting d and c level fighters. They also fight too infrequently which means they never have any momentum created instead they are in a loop of having 1 fight per year then a career stall, rinse and repeat. Having their career managed like this means they they have never broke out as known fighters. They are in a constant state of being mid-card fighters who very few people know. Also their performances are inconsistent. They have a ko then they go on to have a boring fight or a close fight. This is no way to become a top fighter.
Along with their management they have themselves to blame because they have consistently turned down huge fights and if they had took such fights and won them they would now be much more well known and on the brink of stardom. Instead they are both 30 years old and their 20s were wasted. They are still stuck fighting c level fighters because that is what they want.
This past weekends fights do not do much to grow their careers. Sergiy Derevyanchenko is not that big of a win. He had already lost twice. Regarding Sergiy Derevyanchenko he made the wrong decision if he took the Canelo fight he would of lost, but he would of made millions more and now that route is forever closed to him. He will now become a gatekeeper. As for the Charlo's my guess is they will go back to fighting c level guys while claiming they are the best and want to fight the best yet at the same time making excuses as to why they will not fight the most well known, best fighters in and around their weight class.
I bought it. I usually watch the fight at the movies if the are showing it there but most of them are closed due to Covid. It was a god card overall.
I bought it as well! I wish grown men around here would admit they're broke and hoping the PPV flopped so they can feel better about not having the funds.
I get it. Just don't make us feel bad about buying it because you couldn't.
It's a shame how many grown men are sniffing around the net to see if two professional fighters failed at PPV sales. Sad stuff but this is NSB and it's 2020, so I shouldn't have expected anything less.
It would be equal to DLH numbers if it cracked 200k. The amount of fans who said this was a stacked PPV could probably fit in a phone booth. If you went around planet Earth and asked 7 billion people if they know about this fight, you might get 100,000 at best, and out of those 100,000 you might get like 70k who buy it. And even though i'm joking, my joke is probably not too far off being real.
Big facts here.
But when we tried to tell people this over the last few weeks, we were labeled haters of the Charlos and we were told we wanted boxing to fail. Nah, realistic is more like it.
From what I have seen if a fight is trending to do better than expected you usually start hearing estimates thrown out the day after or so.
Pacquiao/Mayweather numbers started leaking the next morning that it broke records.
If a fight does poorly you don’t hear much as they sweep it under the table.
I don’t see any way this fight did anywhere close to 200k. I think it did less than 100k.
From H as well and that is terrible.
I don't get why local news doesn't bring up these guys.
I see them in the Defender (local Black newspaper) but that's about it.
Wonder if the Chronicle covered the PPV?
Only 250k watched Charol fight on Showtime in his last fight but yeah, I’m sure 200k decided to plop down $80 for this 😂😂😂 some of y’all are either high or stupid.

Probably not very much. There wasn't much promotion for the fight, and the opponents weren't that known. You have to start somewhere though, and I doubt this is the last time we see them on ppv. Jermall is a real opponent for Canelo now.
Haymon could lure him away from DAZN with a ppv vs Jermall.
Coppinger had an early estimate for Spence-Porter within 3 days. The excuse for why he waited so long for the Wilder-Ortiz 2 numbers was that there was a delay due to Thanksgiving. There is no holiday going on this week so we should get early estimates within a day or two unless they're really bad. We didn't get any numbers for Crawford-Khan until people had stopped caring and moved on to something else.
None of you contacts that Rick Glaser guy yet, he typically would make up a number by now :lol1:
Again I think it will do just OK numbers, nothing great BUT it has created a Loud BUZZ for the Charlo Brothers that they can build upon going forward and those Numbers will keep going up and up as long as they fight good opponents especially if they fight opponents who will help sell the PPV and talk some trash with them
I don't expect much to be honest. I am from the Houston area and am still fairly active in boxing as recreation at this point. Truth be told, the Charlo's are not really popular around here. Maybe in Alief where they are from but in the major parts of the city they don't really carry that type of buzz.
Would be nice to see good numbers from them considering I was in the amateur the same time as them. But I don't predict the best of numbers.
Likely got 150K to 200K, no way it went past that!
I say with the limited amount of promotional push this card got until fight week, no bad blood or much trash talk from either main event fighters, 2 of them don’t speak English, and lots of haters likely illegally streamed it for free or paid for the UFC card instead, it would be a success IMO if it hit 200K
