For the 1936 Berlin Olympics, the Jews swept away into hidden prisons and camps, and the main streets decorated like a Potemkin's City street (if you know what that it, you likely don't) with the back streets still full of Jew-hate and "inferior-race" hate. Deutchland Uber Alles blared incessantly from the loudspeakers, mercifully stopped after a while. That was when Jesse Owens won 4 Gold Medals and Hitler stayed away from the Stadium that day. and didn't present them to him. Owens said that was O.K. but that FDR didn't even send him a congratulation cable, and he got no offers when he returned. Pub by Oxford University Press 2006...231 pages with 42 extra pages of notes and references. IF you read it, your scornful attitude will vanish like a snowflake on a hot stove.

I think this, Duran over Leonard or Marquez over Pacquiao. A matter of preference. Absolutely nothing wrong with those two either.

Difficult criteria for this one. If it's biggest upset that's one thing. But if it's greatest win when two top fighters at the weight fight in their prime then that's another. Could have been Taylor v Chavez but for 2 seconds.

It’s gotta be Duran vs Leonard for me too. Just incredible stuff. Leonard was not p4p number one at the time. As a matter of fact, I'm sure Duran was rated higher at the time. Great win though. Duran had been rated number one for a long time, but leading up to that fight, people did have Leonard higher simply because Duran had not looked very good at 147 in the couple years before their fight, except against Palomino. Most assumed he’d lost a step due to the weight gain and fighting bigger guys.

Very true. But in the 6 months he trained before the fight, he got back down to his fighting weight of around 225. He looked good but his skills were of no use against Johnson, an all time great. - -What grade U in now?
