Among the current active UK fighters Amir Khan has by far the best resume. Not even close. Very underrated and underappreciated fighter.
This guy won silver medal at the olympics. Has beaten 11 former or current world champions. Wins against guys like Marco Antonio Barrera, Maidana, Zab Judah, Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson (He was robbed), Luis Collazo, Paul Malignaggi and Andriy Kotelnik.
Khan's defeats far eclipse anything he achieved as victories.
His 'legacy' is of running his mouth constantly, getting knocked down like a feather and making a fortune out of fights he was never going to win.
Khan isnt just a chin problem, hes like mid career Wlad, its a combination of chin and inability to deal with pressure.
He got sparked out every single time he stepped up to elite competition in the last 10 years. Maidana is the last A level guy he fought without being sparked out. I think Bradley would get to him.
I think we can all agree that it was a great match up at 140 and all the fans wanted to see it. It would have crowned a new lineal champ after Pac vacated.
There was at least 2 year window in which it could have happened and we all know Khan wanted it after he called out Bradley to his face at some fight. If Bradley really believed he could win he would have beaten Khan and then gone on to fight Pac, Marquez, Vargas etc.
It would have been a close fight and I wouldn't have cared about who won as I liked both fighters. I just wanted to see it happen and I know who I blame for it not happening.
In terms of overall accomplishments, no. Khan lost most of his biggest fights and has some bad KO losses.
But in terms of quantity i.e. number of top opponents faced, yes without a doubt.
During his title run only Salita (now a promoter) was ranked out of the top-10: Kotelnik (WBA), Salita*, Malinaggi, Maidana, McCloskey (#10), Judah (IBF), Peterson**, Garcia.
That's 7 out of 8 fights. You don't see that anymore tbh. He later added Collazo, Alexander and Algieri to his resume. Losses to Canelo and Crawford too.
I agree with TS that Khan was stiffed against Peterson, who was on synthetic testosterone anyway. Still to this day I think that should be given as a DQ win for Khan or a NC. And it should have been a 3-belt unification with Garcia and a 1v2. Garcia's reign at 140 should have started with that fight. At least Ring correctly had it for their vacant title.
Khan isn't HOF. If he wins a title in this stacked 147 division then yeah, but that's not happening. If he was more active and had added some names to his resume then he could perhaps have built such a deep resume that he'd get in but he hasn't done that either. Big wins could have been Kell Brook, D. Garcia rematch, J. Vargas, Broner, Maidana rematch (not that I'd favour him in all those fights). I always felt he had the beating of Tim Bradley also, Tim swerved Khan to go the WBO route to fight Pac, and it ultimately worked out for him and his legacy. But I think Tim knew Khan at 140 was too big and fast for him.

depends on resume if you talking wins over live opponents or just a list of names and including those KO losses.
Khan has the best resume interms of names and including losses.
But AJ and Fury are both top 3 heavyweights right now. Khan was never top 5 welterweight in his life.
The guys he actually beat, most of them were shot as hell - MAB, Judah, Paulie M, Collazo, all those guys were shot to chit.
His best win was Maidana and that gets credit only because maidana did well vs floyd later on. Maidana at 140 wasnt that great though, struggled with a geriatric Morales and also still made Khan do the funky chicken dance in their fight. Khans chin was that bad, that even in his best win of his career he was wobbled.
Definitly
Khan has faced...
Danny Garcia
maidana
Judah
Old Barrera
Crawford
Canelo
His resume ****ts on any other Brits easily!!!!!
Also add Devon Alexander
LMAO. Like the rest of the mentally impaired Fury fans - he's a special case. But he's actually worse than the rest because he's claiming where he isn't from and also claiming a popular London rapper's life story as his. LMAO.
This forum definitely has loads of losers and blockheads whose existence depends on trolling. These idiots don't even watch boxing.
Fury has zero unification and zero title defences in 13 yrs, yet these numbnuts think he has the best resume because he beat the bum, Wilder, and 28 other bums. LMAO. He shouldn't even have been in the ring with Wlad after failing PED test against Hammer.
Most overrated fighter in history. Could barely win against Otto Wallin. Who is ranked 49th by boxrec.
Hell NO. His resume is mediocre and worst then ever after quitting to Crawford and then cherry picking tiny Dbbs. Even washed Brook is better and would beat him if Khan had the balls to fight Brook who has been calling him out for ever. Khan has not been a world champion since being KO by Garcia many years ago. He has the worst chin of any high level boxer. The UK has many excellent undefeated boxers so why do you insult them all by saying Khan is better than they are? Khan is one of the richest UK boxers so I'll give him credit for that.
LMAO. You'll just lose yer life trying to be an internet tough guy.
North Peckham and Aylesbury estate around the burgess area are separated by Albany rd. Also, North Peckham is separated from Camberwell by Southampton way and Wells rd. And around that axis - you've SE15, SE17 and SE5, hence back in day until recently, the 3 areas used to be seen as one and guys from there did everything together.
It doesn't take rocket science to know that a walkaway over Albany rd connecting North Peckham and Aylesbury is feasible. And there was one back in the day before it was knocked down because the police couldn't go there and the areas were crime infested with drug addicts and heroin needles everywhere. I was there and I know. Stop arguing, you idiot.
This is a similar estate to Aylesbury estate in Wolverhampton called "Heath Town" (similar architecture because it's huge as well but not as big and I've been there a few times):

^^^That's the type of walkaway Aylesbury estate used to have that goes across Albany rd, to connect North Peckham before it was knocked down.
I'm really done now. You don't want to see the old me in Avirex jacket and Reebok classic or Wallabees. So watch yer mouth. You're not from London, you just moved recently. And stop stealing Giggs' life story. LMAO.
Well night night you very hard man. I'm looking forward to this proof about that walkway that nobody saw or remembers. You are a tool but you give me a laugh with your name dropping and really scary threats. I'll be waiting for that proof, get on Google, you got work to do..loool
He is so stupid. He should know that his hero Fury is a drug cheat. Seriously? He needs steroids to beat up smaller fighters than him lmao.
Ah, which Fury win was the no contest for failing a test again? Oh no that was Dillian..

Mug who thinks he's taking lives coz he walked through a tough area. Just get any map, pic, or news report of that walkway going across Burgess connecting two estates that were never connected, until then your a plastic gangster wannabe. So what you saying?
LMAO. You'll just lose yer life trying to be an internet tough guy.

So wheres the proof it was ever there? I know for a fact there was never anything like that going over Albany Road or Burgess Park. All you gotta do it prove it. I know you can't. That's why youre looking like a mug. Youre doing alot of talk about my life getting taken aint ya? Seems like you think youre something special, something like a gangster. What is it your saying you're gonna do exactly. Coz I think your a sad loner who's full of ****... Oh Btw, its called Wells way, not Wells Road, everyone knows that, thats where the Lynn AC is, if you was local you'd know that, mug.
