Another double standard: you claim that Canelo won a Jr championship (basically saying Canelo is not a really champion at 168) but, you still claim that GGG tied Hopkins in championship defense.
You have the audacity to call out poster for stating facts that support Canelo, but you blindly support fantasies and lies that GGG is spitting out
Good point.
Fielding was not a real champion. He was one of those Jr champions.

not many people criticized canelo for fighting jacobs or kovalev so im not sure what you are talkign about. sounds like a straw man to me. canelo is trying to fight yildrim next so thats a similar level to rolls and szeremeta and people are criticizing him for that just like they criticized ggg for it.
also canelo is not smaller than ggg not sure what you mean there. he fights at 168-175, is as wide as a building, and does ped's.You make a valid point about the size, but Golovkin is bigger then Canelo physically, you saw them on two occasions on fight night next to each other. Canelo just happens to have great genetics and physique which allows him to fight in different weight classes retaining his speed while looking fit. His skillset is also tremendous.
Canelo was trying to fight Smith and Saunders but DAZN won’t approve them without a severe purse reduction. This is when Canelo decided to entertain the possibility of fighting Yildrim on another network, for leverage in negotiations with DAZN.
Danny lost $800K from his $12mil to be whatever weight he wanted since he bypassed the morning weigh in and paid the huge fee. But he “weak” doe.
The Krusher got schooled because forum members here actually laugh at about Canelo’s high guard because they don’t understand boxing. Canelo has returned firepower for those infamous right hands that GGG and Jacobs threw, the same counter he neutralized on Kova’s right hand. When you’re watching the fights do you understand the chess match from elites?
You can’t compare proven world level top 3 ranked opposition to Steve Rolls and Sacramento, that is not objective. These are facts, they are not comparable in any way, shape, or form.
Acknowledging that GGG is physically bigger then Canelo is not fanboying, it’s a fact. Just because Canelo is genetically gifted and has the ability and skills to fight in different weight classes doesn’t make him naturally bigger man. You saw them stand beside each other fight night on two occasions, it was clear GGG was the bigger man.
Ok kids. Keep circle jerkin to Sauls pics. Yall are a mess.
yildram is definitely premium. im sure the judge who doesnt even follow boxing can tell you that.
I suspect you may have stumbled upon the one comment that can unite the entire forum in a common opinion. That's actually quite the accomplishment.:lol1:
I'd imagine it hangs on whether there was any attempt to define 'premium' in the contract and if so what it entailed. As I mentioned to Kool above though I'd certainly argue if I was in Canelo's shoes that it was reasonable to assume the term refered to current active professional boxers.
Now we apparently got DAZN saying Canelo hasn't seen the contract, and that GBP have deceived him... :dunno:
Might as well just wait and see what comes out, at this point all we got is speculation.
Bellator MMA doesn't know what is going on with their DAZN deal either.
It's all speculation at this point I agree. But it seems like they have quite a mess on their hands over there.

Once the courts hear that only 4 fighters were considered "premium" (with one of those 4 being retired and two others being MMA fighters) I think DAZN is in serious trouble of losing the case.
It's not a good look for them.

How can you claim that the same standards are being applied when Jacobs and Kovalev are legitimate top 3 in their division and world champions when Canelo fought them, as opposed to Rolls and Sczarcrameto who aren’t even top 50?
Canelo gets criticized for fighting top opposition meanwhile GGG gets criticized for fighting bums. What does Canelo have to do to get credit? He’s already jumped like 5 weight classes and he’s physically smaller then GGG. Those are not the same standards...

Not arguing either way over whether the definition is a good one or not but I believe when they used the term 'premium' they were refering to the amount of revenue they believed an opponent might create rather than to their quality as a boxer.
In short they were saying we'll pay you big $$$ if we think the fight will bring in plenty of subs. As to whether that was within their contractual rights is for the courts to decide. Could be there will be some debate over precisely what the two sides understood the term to mean.

Possibly, I honestly don't know. I ain't got a horse in this race and it will play out as it does, I was merely clarifying their use of a term... I'm not 100% where I saw it now, I think on one of the earlier threads, but I think it has to do with DAZNs expectation of the uptake they'd get from a fight, in which case it might depend on whether they could prove such an expectation was reasonable... like I say I really don't know. Contract law most certainly ain't a field I've got knowledge in, more's the pity... :lol1:
Looks to me though that DAZN shouldn't have written in a term to the contract that wasn't clearly defined and Canelo shouldn't have signed it without clarifying what was meant. Once again possibly coming down to what a judge considers 'reasonable'... though if there really ain't any specifications to the term I personally would think it reasonable that Canelo assumed he'd be facing other active boxers.
I'm honestly hoping DAZN gets thru this. Who wouldn't want to pay 100 a year if they could get 5 or 6 ppv worthy fights.
Unfortunately, they've never delivered that and it was getting progressively worse even before the pandemic.
I hope there's a settlement fast. The longer it goes, the worse it'll get for all involved.
Even if you're right about what DAZN considers "premium" that kinda helps Canelo's case more than it hurts it.
Who's going to buy a boxer vs MMA guy again after the Mayweather v McGregor fiasco. And it can be argued that today's casual fan doesn't even know who De La Hoya is.
It makes DAZN look worse, not better.
It makes the judges job easier too.

What about GGG!??
See. You did it again.
That's the best defense you have when you need to protect your master Canelo. Like a stupid dog who doesn't know when to stop barking pretending they know how the world works when all you know is your backyard.
Woof woof woof.
I think that fits you even better than being a closet gay. You can be my dog and ill call you bidness.
Bidness! Beg! Its ****ing 6am and I can see you've already been here for a while.
Lmao..... Too funny
Physically smaller? Are you blind? Yall fanboys claim hes the best p4p and G isnt, yet yall compare them the same....either stick to your script or admit they ARE on the same level....then you can complain.
Imo, Saul fought weak versions of Danny and Kov. Made danny adhere to some weak demands and fought a wack version of Kov that even Kov said was bs!
G fighting rolls and not as of yet Szer, are weak fights as well.
Thats what OBJECTIVE fans do. Not big up 1 and hate on the other. But I'll let you fanboys tell it...You can’t compare proven world level top 3 ranked opposition to Steve Rolls and Sacramento, that is not objective. These are facts, they are not comparable in any way, shape, or form.

There are posters on this forum who crap on Canelo endlessly for his DAZN fights, while defending Golovkin endlessly at the same time.
It is irksome to see those double standards.
Who are these people and where are the posts?
Prove it, liar
love how Gturds claim Jacobs was weak opponent for Canelo...... yet hes GGG's best win and only number challenger win to date.
so Canelos crap is GGG's best ever.
ahahaha.

Exactly why DAZN is toast in court when it comes to defining "premium opponent".
Even worse, the Mensas running DAZN said two MMA guys and a 47 year old were "premium".
DAZN had better get ready to write some big checks...

GGG went around John Skipper to do his deal with DAZN that is why it was rumors going around that he was given Equity/Ownership in DAZN
I think I seen something about GGG best Friend is the Owner or he has ownership in DAZN or something like that so that could be the reason maybe :dunno:
