Just for clarification I'm not going by the dictionary's definition of athletic. I'm going by how the word is actually used on a day to day basis which surprisingly differs from the definition.
Actually you are ,I saw AJ compete against Phelps and gave a good showing, obviously he lost In the friendly challenge but had it been any other boxer he would have smoked them .
Photoshop. If anything..AJ would have set it up by offering Phelps a bag of weed to claim AJ did the laps.
You want people to stick to "your" definition of a word, acknowledging that is is used often incorrectly? Where is the intelligence or value in that exercise?
The dictionary is a source of truth, not joe on the corner who might not even be educated enough to understand the difference.
Sounds like you just found out what athletic really means, and disagree with the definition and don't want to accept it.
The dictionary definition is just something like .. physically strong and good at sports. In boxing, the word is usually used to describe a fighter who has the attributes which make a person good at sports .... balance, co-ordination, speed of movement and thought, ability to apply explosive force, and stamina, as well as strength.
I voted for Loma, because he is gifted in all those departments.
Would have to be the guy who can excell in all physical realms of competition, surely AJ has to be up there winning running events and overall physically strong with very good coordination he can run, swim play soccer and lift heavy ,Ive seen him win some football contest awhile back as well in an accuracy contest.
Boxing athletics being only limited to the ring would be Loma or Usyk but they are much lighter so you would have to say it’s a huge advantage there but if I had to pick one guy in an Olympic style events with multiple competitions against other boxers my money’s on AJ .
Black people can't swim.
Pacquiao and Crawford. An extreme Athlete is not just power and speed but also coordination and kinaesthetic intelligence. Pacquiao is ambidextrous, Crawford can fight from both stances better than just about anyone, both insane stamina, both have speed and power and know how to seemlessly manoeuvre.
Wilder is a stiff. Joshua is lumbering and fatigues easily. Keith Thurman literally has flat feet. Andrade is a slapper. Porter sloppy as sht, bad form. Haney is weak, not great form neither. Lomachenko cannot throw proper straight punches, a weakness due to being converted and not being as athletic as the likes of Crawford. Lopez is another lumbering fool, only good thing about this kid is all the juice he takes to have an absurd strength advantage over smaller fighters. Charlo is a stiff. Usuk is a stiff.
