I think Duran also fought better guys than Pacquiao or Mayweather did . Duran fought RSL three times, beat him once. before that, Duran beat Palomino, ex lineal welterweight champ. Hagler went distance with him. Duran beat Barkley for middleweight WBC title, he did it when he was around 38. Barkley was huge compared to Duran. In his first world title fight, Duran beat Buchanan, lineal lightweight champ. He beat Davey Moore, a big puncher, for jr. middleweight title. Duran was a monster. he had many losses, but he was in many great fights.

What people are not understanding is Duran would be the biggest and hardest puncher pacquaio has ever faced....de la Hoya , cotto ,maywether , Mosley etc all came from the lightweights like Duran but punch for punch Duran was a monster compared with those.....I like pacquaio but I think Duran would have have broken pac down and stopped him..Duran would love it in there with pacquaio because it would be a tear up and would be in his element. I honestly think Pacquiao's deceptive command of range and blinding speed would allow him to outbox and take a decision against Duran. I think that career vs. career Duran is probably better but I think it's not a good matchup for him. I wouldn't write him off entirely but if you made me bet I'd put it on Pacquiao.

I gotta go with Pacman. Normally, I would choose Duran but I can't trust him. I don't know which Duran would show up or will he have another meltdown in the ring and shut it down like he did against Leonard in their rematch.

Duran had such a subtle defense. He was hard to hit clean. I think i only saw Hearns do it. Barkley hit him with a hook but i think duran slipped it to take the effect off. I thought Barkley won that fight, but it was close. I would have loved to seen Duran and Chavez sr. at 135 if both were in their primes. That would be some high quality stuff.

Depends on what kind of shape Duran is in between fights. He often balloned way up and this took a toll on him. Would love to see a round robin of Duran , Pacquaio, Chavez, and Arguello at 135 or even 140.

Duran from Montreal 1980 was a monster. That version of Duran would beat every welterweight.

Duran, his defense gets overrated but I think the pressure he would put on pac would eventually overwhelm Pacquiao and I can see a late stoppage for Duran

Great fight. Pac /Duran at 140 OR 135 IS GREAT. . AT 147 it depends. If Duran of Motreal shows up and bulls forward wow a great fight. If its the one that lost to Benitez or lEONARD 2. Then Maybe Pac turns , pivots him and shot guns him with speed to death.

The Duran of 1980 Montreal would have inflicted punishment on Pac. Duran would need the mindset he had of hating Leonard and thinking of him as a media creation at the time.
