"That's the sport that demands the most from the athletes who compete in it. It's harder than football, harder than baseball, harder than basketball, harder than hockey or soccer or cycling or skiing or fishing or billiards or any other of the 60 sports we rated".
What do you guys think? Is boxing really the toughest sport in the world. The most dangerous and risky?

Wow, no I believe you, I wouldn't ask an internet character just to be skeptical.
You feel like you re-gen plenty in a min rest too?
Dude, you're special. Most HWs are sucking wind because the minute rest is unfair for HWs. Small men regenerate energy more quickly than large men. To be huge and be able to go like you're not huge is really really rare. You should do something with that blessing! Go play football or some **** homie, damn.
Sadly I'm in the UK, no gridiron here but I actually played for a London team a couple years ago
And yeah but I go HAM on my cardio. I do literally a shitton and conditioning training. Its taken me years to be able to comfortably go for rounds and, even then, pressure fighters are still a bitch. Thanks for the kind words tho.
Boxing is definitely the most dangerous of the combat sports, I mean just compare the death rates. in terms of brutality and pain it's not in the same realm as Muaythai and MMA, I've had my jaw broke and it really ain't that painful due to adrenaline, leg kicks are ****ing horrible and are proper painful regardless of the adrenaline, not to mention the knees and elbows.
This is correct. With boxing its the fact that you can take sustained head trauma for up to 36 minutes. I honestly think getting knocked out quickly is probably less damaging than having your brain shaken around in your skull a hundred times, getting up off the canvas to take more punishment etc etc.
This discounts the minute long breaks between a round. 5 minute rounds are hell. Anyone with rudimentary professional level conditioning can recover fairly well after a minute.
The typical 5 min MMA round is usually worse than a typical 3 min boxing round but whether a 15-25 min MMA fight as a whole drains you more than 36 mins of boxing really depends because theres so much more variation in MMA. If you get into a lot of wrestling exchanges, scrambling etc the drain on your gas tank is unbelievably intense compared to just straight boxing. Throwing a kick is worth like 5-6 punches too, in terms of cardio cost. But then on the other hand if you're a far superior grappler and can just lay'n'pray its pretty easy in comparison. What some people overlook with the ground game though is that the guy on his back is usually having the air slowly squeezed out of him and hes working against gravity to get anything done, which again is very draining even though to the casual observer it looks like they're both having a rest down there.

You don't play boxing.
Boxing is also the most dangerous and tragic
Months of preparation and dedication just to beat your opponent or its the other way around.
Most boxing retirees end up broke with brain damage.
Jake and Logan Paul have made the "you don't play boxing" quote laughable.
70/80's cricket was more dangerous imo.

That angle makes it seem tougher but they do fight for less time too so that might even out more. MMA taps out at 25 minutes & 90% of the time just 15 minutes. Boxing of any high level is 30 minutes & 36 minutes max.

Boxers take nice hard crushing body shots and fight on like it nothing
What do other athletes endure that as painful as fighting on through a hard blow to the organs
MMA.
Taking kicks to the body are even more painful.
One vs One at the same weight, after training your body to its highest balance of power and speed with the full intention of rendering your opponent unconscious.
What is the measurement between unconscious and death?
Mma might be tougher
They have to prepare for even more different situations than boxers
The new breed are killers. Their kicks can to more damage to the head than you or I could do with a baseball bat. I'm really surprised there haven't been any high profile deaths. But that speaks a lot about Boxing. We drain our bodies including the fluids protecting the brain and sustain much more head trauma in a single fight and its that sustained brain trauma that makes Boxing a more lethal and long term damaging sport. So again, it's a bit of a toss up to me. Ive dabbled MMA in the past but I wouldn't dream of doing it now.
A case can be made for MMA now that the sport has evolved into a somewhat uniform fighting style. Its much like Boxing now, they have grapplers and strikers we have Boxers and punchers. Some do both.
In the beginning you could come in with little training and get really far if you avoided wrestlers. Nowadays you have to have years of jiu jitsu or you won't last 30 seconds. Plus theres a lot of competition and there's not a very good process to go from amateur to pro.
But yes it's one of the two that are the toughest sports in the world.
Absolutely, you’re training your body to peak human physical form for maximum mortal combat and to deliver high end violent attacks!
One fight in boxing could end your life!
One punch in boxing could end your career!
Boxing Training camps are well known to be brutal and sometimes more punishing than the fights itself which could cause career ending injuries!
I’ve trained with amateur boxers and their training is crazy asf, now imagine the prospect, contender, and champion levels of training!
Once their leg broken they don’t have to continue
Boxers fight on with broken noses broken hands punishment to the body that leaves them pissing blood the next day
facepalm?
If a boxer breaks his leg does he have to continue on? WTF use some logic here. You act like boxing is the only sport of broken bones and blood, it's not.
I think is up there along with any full contact sport like Muay Thai, kickboxing or MMA but boxing is a full 12 rounds which is nuts, also, I think is really interesting how Henry Cejudo said that after winning Olympic Gold he wanted to make the US Olympic Team but he realized that it wasn't a realistic goal and he decided to beat the MMA goat as well as becoming a two division UFC champion instead.
Hard to say. Theres so many 1v1 combat sports out there as well - MMA, muay thai, kickboxing, freestyle, greco roman, folkstyle, judo, BJJ, kyokushin, lethwei, bareknuckle etc. Boxing is hands down the worst for long term brain damage out of all of them though.
Hockey is pretty crazy because of the season schedule, in the NHL its like 82 regular season games iirc, and its a high skilled sport with big hits and fights. American football has some huge monsters and big hits. As does rugby, and rugby league especially is just a relentless game that has hundreds of tackles made over 80 mins. And none of these sports have weight classes. You could be a Canelo sized dude getting into it with a Fury sized dude.
