& for the ppl who ride the short bus I'm not saying any of them are weak champs. I'm saying at this point in time who's the weakest of the current champs? Major titles only!
LOL what type of clowns voted for BJ saunders being the weakest. Among all of them, he has the best ring IQ and experience. The weakest is a tie between callum smith and david benavidez. Why? Benavidez has no active guard, rarely moves off the line, he comes forward and throws punches with little thought put into it. A good counter puncher would sleep him. Callum smith is also another guy who relies on his power and is a below average boxer. He can be easily outboxed by anyone with a brain.
That's why they fight with the PBC. Those two guys are the weakest links at 168. No one else would sign them and they need that PBC "get out of jail free" card.

Why can’t he beat Plant? He tends to fight to the level of his opposition.
I'm not a believer of that. He was actually supposed to fight Andrade in the Olympics but his inconsistent performances appear to be something that's been with him since he was a teenager.
Doing just enough won't always be enough. Ppl like to compare him to Fury in that regard but IMO Fury's division is very overrated. Which allows him to be able to do that. But the division(s) that BJS compete in are more skilled. I don't believe he'll have the work ethic he does & continuously beat upper echelon competition. He may get lucky once but I can't see it anymore than that.
But more specifically to Plant...Plant is different & soon ppl will see. Very dedicated & a student of the game for real! He's like an improved version of BJS. I can't think of a single area BJS has an advantage over him in terms of fighting attributes.
You can't re-write history & that dude Thompson is a pretty good fighter from what I seen.
How does is it not? Ppl was calling Uzcategui the boogeyman. Plant was the underdog in that fight & took it immediately after he broke his hand.
BJS ain't beating Plant
Must be a UK thing
BJS ain't beating Plant.
They don't hear you tho
Why? Lol
Not really.
I think that's inaccurate
Slow feet don't eat, won't be as easy as you think
Naa, hell naa, ya'll gotta put sum respek on Uzi name
😭😭😭

It’s impossible to tell honestly.
Smith should have lost to John Ryder.
Saunders has been at 168 for a split second.
Plant’s best win came against a guy who lost to Lionell Thompson 11 months later.
Benavidez is usually in a competitive fight before the KO. That’ll probably come back to bite him in the ass.

Plant looks nice, but beating Uzcategui ain't really telling me loads.
Damn. Dunno. Is the poll multi choice?... I'd pick Saunders and Plant I reckon. They really should fight.

I would say Plant with no confidence whatsoever. I'd still take Smith to beat the rest even though he was poor last time out. Benavidez next with BJS third for me.
Must be a UK thing
They are all very solid like you said, so it’s hard to say who’s the weakest. BJS has had the highest level of opposition so we’ve seen the level he can perform at but we’ve also seen how low he can perform. Smith looked really good up until ryder. Benavidez had some questionable fights but he’s young. Plant hasn’t really faced anyone. **** it, it’s a draw. Edit: went back and picked plant. In top form is pick BJS over him to win, and id pick the other guys to beat plant.
BJS ain't beating Plant.
Saunders hasn't looked impressive in years.
They don't hear you tho
I don't know, i truly believe BJS could go undefeated against the other champs
Why? Lol
I hate how there is no unification in this division. The only exciting thing about this division is that Canelo can jump in and mix things up.
Not really.
Nobody in very good there. GGG and Canelo should move up to 168 and make a superfight there.
I think that's inaccurate
They're all meh. I'd say Caleb Plant is the weakest
Canelo could beat that ass and take that belt any day of the week
Slow feet don't eat, won't be as easy as you think
Callum Smith, he should’ve lost to John Ryder who’s no worse than Uzcategui, Dirrell, and whoever Saunders best to get his title!
Weakest to strongest
Smith
Saunders
Plant
Benavidez
Naa, hell naa, ya'll gotta put sum respek on Uzi name
Wait you think Smith is the best? But also he’ll get stopped by someone soon. Surely that means he isn’t really the best?...
😭😭😭
Quinton Rankins to Lennox Allen, seems like they’ve got him on a fast track now
Hadn't seen it was back on, but good news. It's definitely a move up although Allen's unbeaten record is a little deceptive, he's had one of those stop start careers that never really fully got off the ground and at 35 with just 2 fights in 5 years it's hard to know how much you can take from a win here... but no doubt Allen was a decent prospect coming up, and even beating 22 relative no names without an L is a great deal more than most fighters accomplish... and TBH even a Draw with 2010 Boone is a bit of a feather in your cap - Deezol's a bit more than just your average gatekeeper.
Really I'd be hoping for Morrell to make a statement here, though... not necessarily the KO (although I think it's likely, cos the kid's effin ferocious), that's an ask for a 2 fight novice against a time served vet, but at least a wide decsion I'd hope. Either way, very much a step in the right direction and hopefully a sign of better to come.
Is the point to find the weakest guy at 168? I think Plant is the weakest link. This division is overall weak, useless, and has no clear champion.
I'd say the best in the division is Smith, that includes Canelo. I can see Callum chin or body checked soon, tho. Will he hold together? I'd say no.

Sky's the limit potentially. Real nice Ammy career (Youth World and Cuban National Champ) and looks fabulous but it's too early to tell given the oppostion he's faced thus far. Probably end up at 175 in a few years once he's filled out a bit I'd imagine
These go back a few years but they're also world level youth fights rather than the walk throughs he's fought as a pro to date.

I’d say BJS as of right now, but none of them have truly proven themselves imo.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on Super middleweight prospect David Morrell?

I think Canelo should finish his career at middle. Not impressed with all these weight cruising. Supermiddle is stupid and is for those not good enough to transition between middle and lightheavy. Stick to one weight, except for rare occasions.
