Joe Joyce case tells us lot about Wilder

JJ has only had 11 fights, and all opponents have winning records. I agree that Fury and Wilder just don't fight the best guys, but Joyce is game and won't duck, unlike the other two. He needs to change his mantra then, I did think he had fought more than 11 to be fair but he’s constantly saying he’s being fast tracked but hasn’t taken anyone I consider decent yet. He’s 34 , so when you consider Joshua is 30 and fury 31 he needs to start stepping up for real soon. At the moment I can see see him getting a title fight till at least 2022 by which time he is at least 36... considering once Whyte got to no1 he has been waiting 1000 days and still not got a shot - that maybe even ambitious!!

They’re not nobodies and we don’t know if they would have lost to Joyce at any point and time because Joyce hasn’t had a step up fight. I think he’s been very impressive but if he fights a top 10 guy and gets beat, he kind of hurts the idea that he would have beaten those guys at any point of their career. Yes the great Arreola who got beat once he stepped up from his mediocre opposition. I repeat neither Stiverne nor Jennings were any good in the first place if they were they wouldn't have lost to a guy who became a pro at 31... He started boxing at 22 for crying out loud, its evident that Joyce lacks the fundamentals but he beat Stiverne in his 8th professional fight...

Wilder lost nearly all rounds against Washington...and?What do you mean “and?” It was only 4 rounds in and he knocked him the **** out. Comatosed/put him to sleep. Washington was also undefeated and at his best at the time. Not a 12 round fight...

I think nobody not named Tyson Fury beats Joyce easily. Joshua is chinny. Wilder can`t box. Parker has no power. Ruiz is fat. Ortiz is old. Hunter went life and death with old Povetkin Povetkin is old and small Whyte goes life and death with everybody Pulev the same DDD is very dangerous opponent, but still, Joyce can beat the guy down. Joyce is slow, but my eye test tells, he is not worse than the majority of top 10 guys. But tyson Fury would box circles arund him and probably finish him lately.

Joyce is so huge and rugged and carries enough power that he can pretty much bully small and second-rate heavyweights at will but his flaws are so severe that I'm certain he'll got found out once he fights a real contender with skill and power (ie. Dubois.) Even the second-rate guys he's been fighting have had little difficulty in hitting him flush and he throws punches in slow motion.

Stiverne best Chris Arreola when he was brought in to be a victim. Jennings knocked out Liakvovich, who’s a former WBO champion. So they were good at one point but now it’s six years later... And yes, they didn’t beat any great fighters because then they would be great fighters. Klitschko dominated and now it’s Fury. I don’t get that point. So they beat fellow nobodies an your trying to big them up lol. The point is ur trying to infer they were past it when they lost to Joyce when they never had it. Mediocre fighters who would have lost to Joyce at any point in time. That is the point

We all agree Joyce is slow, we all agree, he is not elite hw material, but still he beat guys like Jennings, Stiverne. But still, Stiverne is Wilder`s second best win, Jennings is the best win of Ortiz, but Ortiz is Wilder`s best win. The Stiverne that Joyce beat was a shell of a man. Pre-Wilder Stiverne was actually respected before he was on Wilder's resume.

Ortiz would probably lose to Joyce, being old with a **** gas tank is ****ing terrible against a guy with Joyces pace. I'm not sure Wilder has an easy time with Joyce either. Tbh Fury is the only current HW who i think has the ability to beat Joyce comfortably without ever being in real trouble. Joyce is a lot more dangerous than the eye test makes him look. If Joyce could add some additional speed & move his head a bit more, he would be a problem no doubt about it. However I think Frank sees DDD as the future of Queensberry and I don't think he would've matched him against Joyce if he didn't think he would win. Fury has apparently busted up and dropped Joyce in sparring, so it looks like his chin can be checked as well.

I think he would beat Ortiz today. He might also beat DDD. He is not fast or a great boxer but he hits hard, has great stamina, take punches well and keeps coming. That can be a hard combination to beat.Has anybody ever knocked him down or hurt him much?

I think Ortiz will do an Ortiz on Joyce like he does an Ortiz on Wilder... He will box his ears off but he couldn't finish his breakfast and ultimately get put to sleep from round 7/8...
