Suspend Floyd/Manny Threads For Two Years

Yes we don't need to chat about how pac wasn't allowed water in in his locker room vs Floyd. and all them shenanigans just to get in the ring. It's all been said.

We talk about retired fighters in NSB all the time. On the first page presently: Fury vs Ali Joyce in the 90s compared Joe Joyce to several retired fighters Ward-3G thread Fighters who put their country on the map thread. We haven't had Fury vs Ali threads everyday for the past five years. Ditto your other examples. The request is very specific and only involved threads about one retired fighter. Further, I am not calling for anyone to be banned or even most threads to be deleted. I simply want them moved off the NSB page. Lastly, the move I am proposing is temporary. It's for 2 years. 2 years is enough time to make sure the trolls disappear.

OP is suggesting we take the ANTIFA approach to boxing discussion. "I don't like hearing about this topic, so nobody else should be allowed to discuss it!" A very slippery slope this is.

Being hung up on something that happened so long ago and really doesn't concern you is truly pathetic and sad.

The only problem with that is you then get posters claiming they are being unfairly singled out. Putting them in one giant thread or several little ones WITH ALL OF THEM relegated to the history section allows them to post to their hearts content- if they are really motivated by anything more than a desire for attention- without any impact on the main board. Frankly, they deserve to be singled out because they are the ones that ruin the forum with garbage threads. I take great joy in belittling manny and his fans but I don’t make dozens of threads spamming up the forum to do so. The issue is many of the worst manny fans are mad that Floyd beat him by such a wide margin so the only thing they can do is create thread after thread dissing him. Enough is enough. Those kinds of losers should be permabanned.

Even Spoon23 moved on after having his life ruined. You and I were constantly breaking spoon23 down。 He made that Marquez rap after JMM slept pac. Floyd is just better than Manny! One master thread and I’ll be happy.

Respectfully, Discussing Floyd or Manny in a thread from a legitimate poster posing a serious question is fine and doesn't need to be removed from NSB. We need to stop acting like this is a forum wide issue. It isn't. The issue is the few Pac trolls that continue to make ridiculous threads. Just a small group of losers that continue to mess the forum up. Instead of a master thread in the history section, just ban the trolling spammers like ghost of dempsey, pasawakyo, myspacedayz, hugh grant,monzon99 and others like them. And yet, this forum is constantly littered with threads about the May/Pac fight, as if there was some way to change the fact that someone lost and someone won. And, there are also other threads speculating on the career of a man who doesn't appear to be likely to ever fight again. Therefore, I propose that ANY AND ALL THREADS about Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao, or fights from Floyd's career, or speculation about anything Floyd Mayweather that happened more than a year ago be deleted from this main board (NSB) and be either total deleted or relegated to the Boxing History section. I think a period of two years should be long enough to get rid of what is, for all intents and purposes, spam cluttering up this section. Isn’t Pacman still active

Voted yes , but all these Pac vs Floyd threads that are already on the site should be merged and maybe stickied and that one thread is the only one used to discuss the topic. This is something that can be done right away.

New posters get some leeway but not much, this is a boxing forum and off topic trash will get closed down. This isn't a forum to discuss social issues, or other combat sports. Non stop boxing means boxing non stop, and only boxing. My point is, you don't have to ban anyone to stop this behavior. They post in NSB because they know it will get the most traffic. If you put these revisionist, alternate reality posts in the history section, these folks won't get the attention they crave and will either modify their behavior or disappear. ... You're right: threads regarding FMJr's career should be posted in the "boxing history" But not those that refer to FMJr's current view points or actions -- in case they are related to current fights/events... Exactly. If it something Floyd is currently doing or saying, it's fair game.

I just watched Ennis v Alvarez. Ennis looked good against a guy who was clueless as how to fight a south paw. I'll need to see more to be excited about him though...…….Rockin':boxing: Yer i watched that fight. He tends to be pretty excited at the start but takes over very quickly. It would be awesome to see him in tougher fights but its hard for him to get better fights at the minute. You know how it goes little reward for a big challenge. At least Alvarez gave him some rnds plus gotta give it to the mexican fighters they never throw in the towel.

I get your reservation and don't have a huge problem with that caveat. But, I will say this...why even have a whole forum called "boxing history" if things from the past keep popping up everywhere else? I think NSB should be strictly about active fighters and recent fights, say the last 3 years tops. Discussion in NSB concerning fights 4 or more years old should have relevance to something happening recently, now, or in the near future...or they should be relegated to the other forum we have expressly for fights and fighters in the past. Just my opinion. And it would stop a load of the nonsense we see daily in NSB. ... I get your logic, but realize what that means. It means any "Crawford is #1 P4P" or similar threads must also be removed, because that logic is based on fights over 4 years ago and thus no longer relevant. No more "Fury is a PED cheat" threads. Over 4 years ago. If we're going to say that (basically) NSB is about what fighters have done lately...Pacquiao is in the convo for beating Keef. Do you see what I mean? Totally. Make no mistake. The main idea is to get rid of all the useless Manny/Floyd threads or "I slowed the video down" threads or "Floyd did x 5,6,10, 20 years ago" threads. Everything else, could and should get the benefit of the doubt.
