Duran I feel he'd have the best chance at beating at 147. People will look to Duran beating Leonard BUT we all know Floyd would never implement Duran's strategy going balls to the wall. Pretty Boy Floyd was much more aggressive (at 130-140) where "Money May" (at 147-154) had the smarts / experience but also fought guys that weren't necessarily at his level (not all his fault either). A Prime Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns are leaps from anything Floyd ever fought at 147. I find that pretty hard to debate.

he would've struggle against Hearns, Marvin Hagler would be to big for him, i think SRL sleeps him honestly. Duran fight would be intresting to see.

Sadly we will never know. Classy of Leonard to say so though even if he secretly doesn't believe it. For the record though I think Leonard is being truthful and really does believe it.

Floyd can compete because of his great boxing skills but he loses to all of them - Duran, Leonard, Hearns and Benitez. Floyd's better than Hagler but Hagler is a middleweight and would be too big for Floyd. I agree. floyd is exceptional, but he doesnt throw enough punches to win those kind of fights. Plus you have to win fights not just make it close against super fighters.

I am interested what you feel is flawed about the post. I think Floyd has the exact attributes that would make him a formidable opponent for Duran and give him a great chance to beat him. Unless Duran caught Floyd, Floyd would beat Duran.

Duran was just better fighter. Duran beats Floyd at 135 for sure, probably even at 147. Duran beat some really good guys at 147 or higher, RSL, Palomino, Cuevas, Barkley. I believe Duran hit harder than anybody Floyd ever fought.

Nah Floyd easily gets Benitez Duran and Leonard hard ones Hearns wins Floyd Hagler joke fight. It would be a hell of a fight but Benitez took on all comers and styles from Palomino, Leonard, Duran, Hearns etc... Plus he's bigger, stronger and packs more of a punch than Floyd.

I think you are not considering how much Floyd would frustrate Duran with his movement and his length. Floyd has like an 5-7 inch reach advantage over Duran. Assuming they fight in a 20x20 ring, that gives Floyd a tremendous amount of room to box and move. Floyd is also very disciplined in the ring. Duran would not be able to make him fight "his" type of fight like he did to SRL in their 1st fight. Not guaranteeing a Floyd win at all. I will just remind you that all of Duran's prime losses-Dejesus, Laing, Benitez and Leonard-were all to right hand dominant fighters with a slight to significant reach advantage over Duran.Not to mention that Money May has a full inch height advantage over Roberto Duran as well.
