It is a fighter's perogative to choose who he wants as trainer and if any fighter believes that he stands a better chance with a different trainer, he should do so. At the end of the day it is the fighter in the ring who has to win the fight. However, I think it is a bit of a d*ck move by Whyte to notify Tibbs by lawyer. Have the legal papers ready but he could at least have Skype'd or Zoom'd Tibbs to tell him face to face.

Why would he not pay him that is a scumbag move that wasn't how it went down, im just giving an example Tibbs says he flew out to portugal a couple of times... basically Tibbs obv can't commit to Whyte's needs eg stay in portugal for extended periods of time. Whyte's used someone else, so it won't be Tibbs getting the trainers cut.

My thinking here is it's due to the covid situation. whyte is training in Portugal, whilst Tibbs wants to be with his family at home. So Tibbs wasn't with Whyte. Maybe they argued? maybe Whyte felt Tibbs was taking the piss? that 10% trainers for the next fight, is a lot of money isnt it? I can't imagine that being an easy convo between them. Who's Dean Whyte? You mean Lamar Scott? lol. Whyte and his team are a bunch of oddballs. Until Kinahan gets charged and convicted of a crime, he's an innocent man in the eyes of the law.
