Fury is definitely over-rated as a whole but he is by far the most skilled Heavyweight out there but its because he is big and skilled which makes it abnormal. If Fury was any other weight class other than probably Crusier or Heavy, he would be a run of the mill, possibly a title challenger at best.
1. He's been put down quite a few times, and by some very suspect level fighters. I mean; Steve Cunningham, a Cruiserweight!
2. He beat Wilder with some very ordinary skills. Didn't do anything special at all in the rematch.
3. John McDermott. That's all I'm saying.
Other than his skills, size and the Wlad win (which, granted, was a great underdog performance) he doesn't really have any other elite level attributes that you attribute to top level heavyweights. He falls behind others in a lot of departments.
However, Fury has two important assets, an unbeaten record and a 'personality'. We've seen that his 'personality' could put him back into retirement via a couple of grams and a few cold ones, and his unbeaten record can vanish in a heartbeat against the likes of Joshua or Whyte.
You could argue he has a good tank but Wilder is an athlete and Fury just used his nonathletic frame to tire him. Not special. Just fat. What happens when he can't lean all over his opponent!?
Basically, he needs to prove everyone wrong and probably shut his mouth. Until then, he's over-rated.
Haha why are you going on amateur boxing that happened 15 years ago, what relevance does it have today?
It's a fact that Steward said that Fury was the future of the division, or are you saying that he DKSAB? I’m saying Joshua knocked fury bandy in sparring and I’m saying steward never had the chance to watch Joshua.
When fury finally fights a live dog who can actually box and throw combination he gets beat.
Fury was a pro when he got bashed up by aj and aj was ana amateur , fury’s has also been dropped many times by Whyte recently.
Just like his old man he is all mouth and backs away from people that can actually fight and it wouldn’t surprise me to see fury vacate his title if forced to fight Dillian Whyte.
That will show you just how confident fury is with whyte
He definitely is.
All his signature performances have been garbage. Klitschko fight was ****. Wilder rematch was ****. Wilder couldn't even move in that fight and Fury was sloppy as hell.
you mean when steward was around fury was the same time joshua beat the breaks of him so he wasn’t that good....he also got beat by David price and knocked out the Olympic qualifiers so please stop that bull**** denium.

Well said. Speak to anyone who sparred or shared the ring with Fury and they'll tell you how good he is. Parker for example, is a top HW, and he's in awe of the gypsy king and openly admits that he wouldn't stand a chance against him.
There's a reason why so many boxers and fight professionals rate Fury, and Emmanuel Steward knew his boxing more than anyone. you mean when steward was around fury was the same time joshua beat the breaks of him so he wasn’t that good....he also got beat by David price and knocked out the Olympic qualifiers so please stop that bull**** denium.
Very overrated and You don’t have a clue about boxing if think this man ranks on the all time heavyweight list.
When Joshua knocks him out we can stop all this stupid talk.
Wallin is actually a better boxer than wilder and wallin is not even in the top 30 of the division lol
He is overrated in terms of resume not being in depth or maybe his resume isn't rated?
But his skills aren't overated. Everyone who met him can't get over the skill of man, he can do things you don't expect from big men.
If Emmanuel steward recognised talent I don't think I can go against general consensus.

when I watch his fights with Cunningham, Walling and the 1st fight with Wilder I can't rate him as the once in every 100 years miracle boxer you say he ia. If he puts AJ to sleep he will have done what Ruiz recently did.
Fair enough, all boxers have under-par performances, but special fighters always find a way to win.
It's easy to look at Fury's worst performances and have a go at him, but look at his best performances. I believe a 100% Tyson Fury is more than a match for anyone past or present.
Ali for example, didn't look amazing all the time, and got dropped by guys like Sonny Banks & Henry Cooper, but obviously you can't judge him off those fights/performances, you have to look at the whole package.
We'll see what happens, Fury could rule for another 10 years and people would still say he isn't fit to lace old timers boots, it is what it is.
How is he overated? He clearly is the #1 hw in the division after knocking out wilder and the other guy was knocked out by the muffin man. Noone gave him a chance against klit or wilder in 1st or 2nd fight. He beat klitschko in a way klitschko fights and beat wilder by knocking him out. He moves like a fighter out of middleweight. When was the last time a hw fighter moved like that? He has a great personality as well. Charismatic, funny and most importantly hes natural unlike wilder 'till this day' and 'stay humble yeeeeahh' joshua.
Is he as great as SOME people say he is ?Yes, he is very overrated. No one is invincible. Depending on the quality of opposition and the length of their careers; All former champions and all-time greats have lost at some point of time in the careers which makes them great.
He's pretty underrated tbh.
Fury is a special fighter, the type who only come around every 100 years or so. When he puts AJ to sleep, more people will wake up to the fact that Tyson is one of the best HWs the world has ever seen.when I watch his fights with Cunningham, Walling and the 1st fight with Wilder I can't rate him as the once in every 100 years miracle boxer you say he ia. he is overrated by some including himself. Most probably rate him correctly. He is a good champion and probably the best in the world now. I doubt he is the best heavyweight in history that he claims to be.
He's not overrated he's an excellent boxer and is miles better than anyone else. I can't get over how much he's improved, I really didn't see him doing particularly well earlier on in his career when he was in tough fights with McDermott (which I think he lost) etc.
He's pretty underrated tbh.

some people will always over rate boxers they like, if fury beats wilder again, joshua and a few others then no hes prob not over rated, hes hte best of his era in the division and let the fantasy matchups begin again
still got a job to do that tho
