Hamed, one of the hardest punchers in boxing history pound for pound, did not look like he possessed alot of power as he was not muscular or even broad. So where did his power come from? Did he lift weights? Have good leverage/technique? Or was his training method unique in developing his power?
This might sound off but I know someone close to him back when he was active, they were of the same heritage. Naz use to come and visit us in brick lane back then, he swear that Naz had Yemeni Voodoo placed in both his hands, that all he needs to do was land on his opponents. How far is the truth in that? I really cannot tell you.
I can....fuuking none

Hamed was a freak. He looked like he shouldn't be able to crack an egg, but had dynamite in both fists.
I think you're born with it.

Looks don't tell you anything about how hard a man can punch. Some very muscular guys can't hit hard and some guys who are not muscular hit very hard. It comes down to how fast they can throw the blows and how much body weight they can put into the punches. Fast hands and proper punching form does the trick and he had both.
I always thought floyd had decent power mixed with speed
Watch the hatton fight Ricky's head was just bouncing and bouncing from the sharp and powerful hooks
Or look at foremans power even now as old as he is I would not like to feel that mans punch anywhere
Speed can be improved and worked on I dont think that comes as natural as power does
Plus theres different types of power most recently people are comparing fury and AJ
And I been saying I would rather take AJs one bang than a fury thud punch
Roid Jones and Shane Mosley were both speed + power guys. They were prolly on the same gear!
Good point. What about speed? Is that also something natural? There are also fighters that some fans may say have natural power but others disagree. Floyd Mayweather is the best example in this case. Claimed by some fans to have decent power others say he has no power.

Power is a natural thing
Some men have it
Some dont
Look at malignalli for instance
