appears canelo and golovkin both have an interim fight with sights set on meeting again later....
charlo has possible good fights with chenko and eubank that can be made....
danny jacobs working at 168 now....
32 years old and still not a notable fight or win.....and the near future looks pretty bleak....
what can he do?
GGG was in the same boat and simply became ACTIVE. Fight 3x a year even if they're average competition. Fighting helps your case and inactivity hurts it
i hear you...and youre right.....but not all situations are exactly indentical...
hbo pushed golovkin hard...they wanted another star and a potential mega fight matchup with canelo at some point....they were angling for that stuff from the start with golovkin once they decided to push him hard....
if canelo were over fighting on showtime and locked into a deal with them things might have turned out different for golovkin
thats why i see charlo as a longshot to fight andrade anytime soon...he may be able to fight chenko and or eubank....
golovkin will chase one more canelo fight and likely retire...even if golovkin doesnt retire after 3rd canelo fight hes unlikely to fight andrade
he can remain "active" and hope to get canelos attention....thats probably his best bet...but its no guarantee...it could take another 2 years for canelo to even look his way or consider him.....
simply being "active" probably isnt going to cut it unless he can get a decent scalp first....even hbo and canelo had golovkin fight jacobs first.....and canelo wasnt quite as big in status as he is now....canelo is going to want to see andrade do something to earn it.....simply beating 3 luke keeler level guys alone isnt going to change his mind
golovkins situation was similar yet different in some ways....DAZN isnt all that jazzed about canelo/andrade...andrade hasnt done anything to warrant it...hes not beating guys up and getting them out early with crowd pleasing ko's...

It’s sad man, his best win is still Vanes like 7 years on.
Munguia is probably his best option...
I think he’ll probably fight Liam Williams next.

Wouldn't he become Saunders' mando if he moved up?
 Umm... I'm pretty sure that's just for WBO super champions, I'll check once I get back on my PC, my paws ain't really ideal for scrolling through pdfs on my lil ol phone. :lol1:
That said Im sure he'd be granted a decent ranking so he'd likely not be more than a fight or two away from a shot anyway, much as Saunders himself was when he moved up.
Still not sure it puts him in a much better position than he is already though, but it's definitely a viable option. Like a lot of things in life I guess, you never how long to keep waiting, the bus always seems to come two minutes after you decide to start walking... :lol1:
Say another year, another year and a half to work himself into a mandatory slot at 168 the way the boxing world works... hell maybe longer. The boxing world ain't usually kind to dudes who ain't with the biggest promotions. I had hoped signing with DAZN might have improved Boo Boos chances of getting some solid fights, but Hearn's top heavy model with Matchroom US means that he's seeming very reluctant to match his top fighters against one another.
EDIT: Ok yeah, the automatic mandatory (or rather right to be considered for mandatory) for adjacent divisions is for Super Champions with the WBO:
https://www.wboboxing.com/regulations/
Sec 14 (d)
(2) ELIGIBILITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR DESIGNATION AS THE
MANDATORY CHALLENGER IN HIGHER OR LOWER DIVISION.
If requested by a Super Champion, the Championship Committee may designate
the Super Champion as the mandatory challenger for the higher or lower
division.
I bet he continues his career-long streak of never fighting anyone good.
Bingo.
He's a nobody and will never fight anyone. Once he starts slipping some young up and coming guy will get his scalp.
it is bleak and a damn shame, but what can a fighter actually do if dudes don't want to fight him or he doesn't bring enough money to the table to get serious dudes interested? Just a case of fighting and beating the best dudes they can get in the ring. Besides outside of Derevyanchenko and maybe Jermall (who doesn't seem much interested in fighting off PBC) who else is there?
Guess he could move up, but what leverage as he got at 168? Ain't even got the strap he got at 160 so technically he's in a worse postion, and will also be starting to face guys with a size advantage. I'd guess Williams is the obvious next option, and then just keep fighting the highest ranked dudes he can I guess... problem is the same as it was through most of last decade though, US fans just don't know half of the dudes fighting at 160, ain't like 147 or 154 where they watched most of the fighters come up from prospects. Doesn't necessarily make 'em worse, but does mean they're often perceived as worse, and they certainly ain't gonna create they interest that two US fighters would.

- -Heared he gonna star as Androgenous Man in a super duper sci-fi Thrilla from Vanilla.
I constantly forget that Andrade even exists. Lemme look at the WBO rankings and see who I expect him to fight next.....
Patrice Volny. He's from the same country as I am and I've never even heard of him. He's my pick for Andrade's next fight.
i do remember when he got with hearn and DAZN alot of people were like "Ok good here we go finally were gonna get some real fights for him"
ive known about boo boo since he was a kid...ive wanted big things for him...were from the same, tiny, state....its actually been impressive how little he has actually done and how hes wasted his career....i mean sure he may get out in good health with some good coin in his account.....
but golovkin isnt gonna fight him....his best shot is to try to put something together in the next year or two that might convince canelo to give him a fight....even by then the canelo "payday" might not be what it was once was, or what he thinks it will be , as DAZN and the rest of the boxing world will surely come back down to earth with salaries...especially for b-sides....
He definitely needs to put something , anything together
I really doubt Canelo wants anything to do with him , if he did he would of gotten the job done already ( not saying he would beat him )
Honestly I don’t know what he can do
His next best option is Dervychenko because we know Golden Boy is going to feed Mungia to Canelo or have him try to avenge Canelo against GGG in the unlikely event GGG beats Canelo in the rematch. Both guys want and need big fights. Dervy isn't getting the Charlo fight anytime soon. This would give PBC the chance to own two belts at 160.
i dunno...i think you see charlo/chenko before you see chenko/andrade....
if youre sending chenko to DAZN for golovkin or canelo is worth it....hes getting paid well and hes got a chance to shock the world....sending him over to fight on DAZN to fight andrade is for low money and high risk
if youre the pbc youre better off having chenko and charlo fight or pitting chenko against one of your guys so its a no lose situation....he can either beat your guy or give him a good win....fighting chenko would be a heck of a test to find out how good charlo is...if charlo wins its a good scalp for him finally....theres also the eubank option for charlo....i dont think the pbc is worried about holding another MW belt....
Andrade's career in a nutshell...

Is it REALLY ALL "bad management"?
It's amazing that the biggest name & win on his resume is Vanes Martirosyan who funny enough STILL landed fights with Jermell Charlo, Lara, and GGG.
Gotta give you props on this one
We talked about Andrade easily a year ago if not more
I kept saying don’t worry he’s gonna fight someone of value
Here we are ( I said a year but it was longer than that ) and he still hasn’t fought anyone
His career is kind of reminding me of GGG’s career , not fighting the best because always chasing the cash cow
Problem is , Boo Boo ain’t chasing chit
Not even loud mouth Eddie and his promotion can get this guy fights
I don’t see anything changing even if he does move up to 168 , as it will be pretty much the same characters , with so many on the edge of moving up
Maybe he is just a lost cause

BJS vs Andrade && Callum Smith vs Danny Jacobs
they make perfect sense....i dont even want to hear bs about any other option or negotiation.
The winner of BJS vs Andrade should get GGG. The loser should get Munguia or Scott Fitzgerald.
yeah i dunno....another keeler level/type of fight i just cant take it....i cant take it seriously.....ive always been rooting for andrade but hes wasted his career and there doesnt appear to be an end in sight to the disappointment....
munguia is the best available option but i dunno how easy that fight would get made......agreed williams is prob something that we will get...its just another "meh"/"blah" fight for andrade....
time is really running out
I’ve totally given up on Andrade, talented fighter no doubt, but I just don’t ever see him getting/fighting the top fighters.
As you say 32 now, time is really running out.
