There are people who actually stand for their rights and they have been doing so previously. They know how to act and what to do and what to say, like Muhammad Ali. Then, there there are people who are just hopping on the BLM bandwagon because it is "in fashion" these days. They do not otherwise care much about it and, therefore, have no idea what to do, how to behave, and what to say. We are seeing plenty of examples of the latter these days.

Look i love nothing more than having a go at AJ, but this is really making an issue out of nothing. Let's face it, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and probably got caught up in all the hype, and a lot of it has been misquoted by the scum media. No big deal, move on.

I can only speak to what I see in America. Racial prefixing, example Afro American or Italian American, were used far more by “Regular” whites. Now when AJ uses the same term to push for financial gain for black people, there is outrage. With all due respect, the problem was whites using prefixes years ago to describe these groups rather than just calling everyone American. I understand the point you are making. In a perfect world it would be accurate because we wouldn’t need prefixes to begin with. I don’t think in England they call people African British or Italian British. I don't think white's should use it either. If you're saying Chinese or Jamaican food you're describing the content of something but what is "black business"? This term really describes nothing at all except who is running the place. There is no such thing as a black automechanic or black taxi driver it only functions to be biased. When whites implemented Negro Leagues in different sport it was to denote the athletes and leagues as lesser what bullshít whites were pulling shouldn't be an example for blacks to "take revenge" and bullshít themselves it should serve as an example what NOT to do.

I think it's divisive and counterproductive. If black owned businesses offer services that are wanted they will attract customers anyway there's no need to put a racial prefix on it. We don't have black owned businesses over here like that but i've bought in Arab stores and from a Polack dude occasionally because they have some exotic candies and sodas that you won't find in the typical stores. Honestly, at times like this when race issues are running hot, sometimes it's better to bite your tongue to make sure you're not going to say something you're going to regret later. A lot of people are doing that right now and I think Joshua might be one of them. At the end of the day I wouldn't put any stock in what professional athletes have to say about complex issues like these, while I respect the skill, strength and other attributes that allow a professional boxer to be successful, the typical boxer isn't an intellectual, to put it likely.

The only people who are twisting his words and using it as a weapon are the less educated people. And am so delighted that he has come out and told those people to go F themselves. What's the difference between saying "i'll support black" and "i'll boycott Hispanic/Asian/white"? Does the latter example sound racist? The former is equally racist but it's phrased better so the mind gets tricked. The content is the same. In order to truly combat racism minorities have to do their part aswell it can't be used as an excuse to further ones own ehno-nationalism. Tribalism breeds more tribalism. The social climate might let you ride the wave and push black supremacism but just because whites can't do it openly it doesn't mean that they aren't fostering inside of them. If you're buying something because of someones race then you're valuing the race over quality wich is the very definition of racism. Products don't have a "character" because they are inanimate objects but it's no different saying "i don't give a fuk how X is a person i dislike him because he's black" than saying "i will refrain from shopping this product because the owner is black". By saying you'll support black you're automatically also saying you'll discriminate against everything else there is NO other outcome.
