Some stuff from the interview for those that don't want to watch this:
-Cleared from the Cleveland Clinic to resume all activities in training except sparring since he lost a couple of teeth and a post needs to be removed so he can get inserted replacement teeth. Then he will be able to begin sparring.
-Suffered no fractures or broken bones and not having a seat belt saved his life. Does not remember anything from the crash and only remembers waking up at the hospital....Actually really only remembers coming home three weeks later.
-Got up to 189 before the Porter fight and wants to make sure that doesn't happen again. Is running 3-5 miles a day before training and keeping his weight in tact.
-Has options for his next fight, says everyone wants the cash cow in Pacquiao but he also wants to fight DSG and Crawford.
-If he fought Floyd, he would just target the body and just try to break him down that way since you can't get clean shots on him to the head.
-Respects Crawford since they face timed each other and came to a mutual agreement. Respects DSG and Pacquiao but not Thurman lol.
-Says he thought he was going to return in August but looks like October or November now because of the Pandemic.
Asked if there was a three fight deal with money being perfect who his opponents would be: Pacquiao, Crawford and DSG.
-Has no favorite boxing movie and hates Rocky it is so fake. Said if his coach told him to chase chickens inside the ring, he will tell him I will see you tomorrow LOL.
-Not snacking on anything right now even during quarantine and is completely locked in. Just staying home and trying to stay away from temptations so he's not going to anyone's house and not eating anything he shouldn't be eating.
-Doesn't care one bit about fighting in an empty arena as long as the check is the same.
-Gets a bunch of social media hate from people talking about the car accident and just a bunch of haters but doesn't care to respond to none of them and will only respond to people like Crawford since that builds up the fight and makes them money.
-Was going down a bad road even before the accident and was taking everything for granted and that accident was the wake up call he needed. Said his in ring performances were being affected and never again will he take anything for granted.
Solid interview, Barnes/Jack the best in the business.
That's the sad reality I guess but as a true boxing fan its disheartening to say the least ya know I've still got high Hope's for a Spence Crawford showdown king of the ring type fight and the longer this all goes on the further away we are from seeing it
I mean seems like both fighters and want it and it's the biggest fight at WW minus the Pacquiao fight for either fighter. I'm confident it happens next year.
It was indeed his fault for his wreck, but doesn't mean taking on someone like DSG is the best thing to do. He may feel one way while his team may feel another way. And if Arum is correct that no big fights are going to happen the rest of the year, then a tune up is even more likely. Now, you can argue he deserves to be stripped if he takes on someone not in the top 10 and that would be fair. But just don't get your hopes up of not getting a tune up next.

Ehh, don’t care much for Matt Barnes. These celebs really need to quit with their useless post career attempts at another career that doesn’t involve them working or investing.
Um, this is them working. These guys got one of the best podcasts out there.

I will lose all respect for him if he doesn't at least fight Danny next a softer touch isn't for a undefeated unified belt holder no matter what. It's his fault he wrecked not his fans nor the boxing community as a whole. Instead of MAN DOWN he should MAN UP

Id bet a paycheck he doenst comeback against anyone near DSG's level. And very true. That dude has no gas but he is very dangerous within six. He has a stiff 1-2.
Obviously you know why I called out mean machine
I’m a Bud fan but he’s wearing me thin
Just imo believe he’s much better than Errol
Always did
Wouldn’t that be a way of tightening the strings with Bud ?
Both guys need to start fighting live bodies
I really hope not
He should take on mean machine
See how he does , according to all the Bud haters he was a bum
Why not ?

No way he comes back with out a tune up. Carlos Ocampo rematch most likely

Will be interesting to see if they fight danny next or take a softer touch 1st.

Thanks for the QRD...as Larry said, his speech sounds a lot better which is great.
Interested to see how he comes back from this though...maybe those injuries won't affect him going forward but man I just can't say 100% I think he will be the same fighter...we will probably find out once he starts sparring and hear the stories.

Yeah, his speech seems fine. He lost a few teeth and was getting used to of talking without them at first. But his latest appearances show his speech is pretty much back to what it was before the accident.
Will be interesting to see how he reacts after getting hit in sparring. And if his reflexes are still there.
