Why is JMMarquez one Canelos biggest detractors?

Because Mexicans like to hate on each other. there is a saying “ el peor enemigo de un Mexicano es Otro Mexicano”. Worst enemy of a Mexican is another Mexican.

Canelo is a protected fighter, that lost the first fight to GGG. he beat good names that were either small or faded or both. I hope he fights billy joe soon as it's a fight that I hope anybody wins as both guys are pricks. See ya

It's because Canelo has fixed fights, drug cheating, cherry picking, rehydration clauses, etc. He also is severely overrated. He has terrible output that often does little to convince me, yeah he does it in flashy style but he also gets beaten for most of his fights a lot of the time. The only time he succeeds is if he steps up the pace but he always gasses out quickly. For someone who trains so much he has terrible aerobic fitness.

Marquez was a workhorse and a warrior. Alvarez... not so much.

I personally don’t think it’s as simple as him hating on Canelo for TF of it. My suspicion is Marquez was a guy that always had to concede everything to the Aside fighters and his greatest accomplishments he achieved them under some Fkup circumstances, and he also was a victim of bad decisions that he was forced to accept because he was the Bside. It must be tough for him to see a fighter like Canelo, he must think to him self “if I had all that juice I woulda been undefeated and the GOAT!” My opinion! What do you guys think? kinda agree with this Marquez was more talented than Canelo (hes no slouch either) but talent doesnt usually mean A side or higher purses

There is also a rich tradition of Mexican fighters resenting each other over who's a "real" Mexican fighter. See Chavez vs. De La Hoya. I'm not saying he is, but it's certainly possible to see Canelo as a "sell-out", not least because of his association with De La Hoya.

I'm no particular fan of JMM but I'm with him if as you suspect he's sick of a-side privilege. No way he goes undefeated though, unless he never fights above LW, then maybe. Marquez was truly a badass and I get the feeling that he feels like he did all the heavy lifting and someone else is getting the benefit of his back breaking work

I’m not enamored by anybody, but the fact is Canelo is the best and unlike the rest of them he’s fought the best always from 154 to 175 he’s taken more risks then anyone at the moment him, Pacman and the heavyweights are the only ones not ducking anyone. U post about this guy damn near everyday. So yes, you're enamored, kinda like teenage girls are to Ryan Garcia. Best from 154? Not Beefy. Best from 168? Not Fielding. Best from 175? Not Kov.
