Don’t know about costing him the fight, but The referee being overly intrusive, putting Hatton at a disadvantage was something I think most noticed and spoke on.

Some refs will be stricter than others on certain things, and you have to adjust. It's not like Hatton wasn't allowed near Mayweather. Mayweather got the better of those inside moments more often than not.

And this is far from a dig at America, some of the very worst have come from British soil.
