It can be for whatever reason you like, whether they showed incredible skill, fortitude, toughness etc.
My favourite three would be:
Roy Jones UD against James Toney.
Muhammad Ali KO 8 against George Foreman.
Ray Leonard TKO 14 against Tommy Hearns.
So many to choose from, what are yours?
I was being cheeky with that one. The guy I responded to had picked two good Dick Tiger performances so I picked one where he got destroyed.
Ahh haha gotcha.
Tony Thompson vs David Price 1 and 2
Big Bad John McDermott vs Fury 1
Dave Allen vs Nick Webb
David Price vs Audley Harrison
Sam Sexton vs Gary Cornish
Dicky Ryan vs Brian Nielsen
Larry Holmes vs Eric Esch
Lucas Browne vs Ruslan Chagaev
David Haye vs Arnold Gjergjaj
Duran vs Leonard 1
Chavez vs Rosario
Pac vs Barrera 1
Pac vs Cotto
Canelo vs Kovalev( ppl are ignoring the fact that canelo was considered too small for Kova at LHW no way was he supposed to be competitive let alone KO him)
All great performances. I predicted Manny to beat MAB so that was no shock to me. MAB walked in with bangs which said it all. Plus he Complained all night. Canelo was a pretty big Vegas odds favourite vs Kova though. I figured he’d win easy enough. I was impressed how Canelo turned out the lights with fast precision as soon as Kova got sloppy. Don’t blink. Its tough to quantify someone having their way with someone compared to digging in deep to win to decide what’s a better type of performance. Sometimes it’s credit to all the work u put in training for the fight, sometimes it’s all the work u put in during the fight.
That's a freaking solid list
Bradley vs Marquez
Barrera vs Hamed
Cotto vs Martinez (i've still never watched this fight properly, Martinez is one of my all time favorites)
Fury vs Wilder 2
Froch vs Abraham (I don't really like froch but this came out of left field for me)
Maywether vs Corrales (people forget Corrales was undefeated at this time)
Duran vs DeJesus 3
Khan vs Alexander
Okay I could go on all day and I feel like i'm now just listing surprises now haha
Ya man corrales vs mayweather was pretty much even odds too 6/5 mayweather I believe. That was a stellar performance . All good mentions . Khan vs Alexander is an underrated performance . Khan dominated alexander .
Bob Foster vs Dick Tiger
How bout dah
Catch me outside
Foster vs tiger was a beautiful performance . Foster was next level in that fight . He was the favorite but I dont think many expected it to be so one sided.
Different opinion, like ironic how GGGlovers (ain't talking bout u) claim Golov beat Alvarez however it doesn't apply to Marquez jobbed @ the hands of judges.
I had Pac winning 1-3 fights against Marquez but barely edging it each time, either with a knockdown or just more memorable punches and aggression. It was an awesome slew of fights they had.
GGG clearly beat Canelo first fight, 2nd fight could’ve gone either way. I had it a draw.
Underrated fight in their 4 fight series. PAC won that one tho, too.

Marquez vs Pacquiao 3, elite boxing
How about Toney vs Nunn?
Never really liked Nunn's style.
Also, I don't consider getting dominated for the vast majority of the fight and then pulling out a late KO as all that impressive.
It was impressive in the sense that he controlled every aspect of the fight, but there wasn’t much fireworks. And Canelo was still a bit green at the time.
Fair enough
It was.... I get it Floyd has boring fights etc. But come on nobody thought Floyd would walk Canelo down. That wasn't the same type of cautious performance he had vs Manny.
You can judge how a Floyd fight by how long the highlights video is lmao imo

It was one of his greatest efforts, he left it all in the ring 'That is why he wanted no rematch'.
At the time nobody was getting up off the canvas vs Joshua 'Kiltschko not only got up? HE nearly ended the fight, and proceeded to inflict damage upon Joshua'.
Joshua vs Kiltschko is the greatest heavyweight fight of the past decade without a shadow of a doubt.
I have even stated on here many times 'Joshua getting up from Kiltschko's right hand was more impressive than Fury getting up of Wilder's slow fatigued desperate shots of their fight'
Wladimir Kiltschko's right hand was like a Tomahawk Land Attack Missile.
A great effort not a great performance.
Fury getting up from Wilder’s right hand is far more impressive. GTFOH with that AJ fanboy BS.
A lot of people have cited Duran-Leonard I. It might be the most mentioned fight. Maybe it’s because I rewatched it just a couple of days ago, but it was the first match that came to mind. Roberto had come up from lightweight to fight the undefeated Leonard, who had already beaten the great Wilfred Benitez. Although “Sugar” made a mistake in fighting Duran’s fight, he still put up an incredible performance of his own. You can only be great when you beat greatness, and Roberto delivered that night in Montreal — fantastic fight, fantastic performance.
Mike Tyson vs Alex Stewart, probably one of Tyson's most impressive wins 'It is not a fight I have watched many times'. The power, strength and ferociousness is something else 'What a great event Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas rematch would of been'.
I always liked Tyson under Richie Giachetti, performed kind of alright underneath his coaching.
I felt Wlad’s performance against AJ was one of his very worst. His timing was off, he looked hesitant, he lacked killer instinct. He showed heart but that was about it. He was far past his prime.

Lennox Lewis fought within himself, that is why I state? It was the best version of Lewis 'Holyfield sustained heavy damage in that fight'. I was actually going to list Holyfield performance against Lewis in the rematch 'Win or Lose as one of the most impressive performances ever considering, the first fight and? The stage of Holyfield's career etc'.
I think Wladimir Kiltschko's performance vs Joshua was one of his best performances.
Chris Euabnk vs Carl Thompson I & II.
Chris Eubank vs Joe Cazlaghe <<< Eubank for a moment in the last round had Calzaghe out on his feet, but never followed up 'He just proceeded to let Calzaghe lean on him, until the bell rang' Yes he was most likely fatigued but, I honestly believe that instinct to finish was gone'.
