This (the only bout) was wildly entertaining and competitive. But what would zab be able to do with 2 good balls? Zab, being the gentleman that he is, DID NOT retaliate. He mentioned after the fight before clamouring for a rematch, that the ball shots drained him.
Speaking of cotto, he is a very dirty fighter like Hopkins, Ruiz, ward, holyfield and Tito Paulie mallinaggi said after his bout with cotto he had bruises on his thighs. He said it felt like he was in hell (Madison square garden NYC) and that he was going against the devil (cotto) and the fans (Puerto Ricans) wanted to see him slaughtered and all cheered against him. He walked away with a broken jaw and orbital bone. I REALLY wish this fight was at 135 to weight drain cotto plus Paulie is the smaller man with a smaller punch.
Your thoughts?
Great fight. Both guys were hurt multiple times. Zab was putting it on Cotto until the low blows. Those really changed the fight.
Always wondered how the fight would have went had Cotto not done that.
It would have ended early in Judah's favor by all appearances.
At bolio I meant to say they both fought at light weight but Paulie seemed more impressive in the Diaz bouts, which I believe were at lt. Weight, making it a more even fight with Miguel.

My thoughts are Trinidad was not a dirty fighter. Ward, Hopkins, and Cotto were dirty fighters but Trinidad was not unless hitting very hard with both hands is dirty. Why would you want any boxer to be weight drained?
I remember that fight. I DVR’d that fight because I was working graveyard at the time. I stopped for a six pack and rolled up a fat ass joint and watched that fight at 6am. 2007 the last really fun year of my life before I became a workaholic.
