Joshua, Fury and Wilder
Fury has, unfortunately the worst resume, although he did beat Wilder.
Wilder has two wins against Ortiz which makes him higher than Fury at the moment. Fury doesn't have a win that matches that,
Joshua's resume is much better than both
No he does not. AJ KOed Whyte. Fury has no loses and a KO win over Wilder who was ranked higher than Whyte. Those two things clearly give Fury the better resume. KO losses do count against your resume you know.
Fury lost to John McDermott.
Boxing followers know this- casuals do not.
Wilder isn't in the big 3. He's in the group with Charles Martin, Robert helenius now. No world class fighter gets beat up that badly by anyone, it was like a father beating a child, I almost felt sorry for wilder until he opened his mouth after the fight
Are we talking about Joshua or Wilder? Both got whooped badly honestly.
This is pretty obvious.
Whyte has a better resume than Fury or Wilder
No he does not. AJ KOed Whyte. Fury has no loses and a KO win over Wilder who was ranked higher than Whyte. Those two things clearly give Fury the better resume. KO losses do count against your resume you know.
AJ may have had the best record until 20 to 1 underdog Ruiz knocked him out. That changed things and winning the rematch did not make his KO loss to Ruiz go away.
The last fight was a rematch. He lost both fights.
In 2 fights he dropped Fury more times then Joshua dropped Ruiz and got dropped less..plus Fury is a much higher level boxer then Ruiz
Fury has the best wins - World Champion Wlad, Wilder x1, really x2, Chisora x2, Cunningham, Hammer
Joshua has more good wins, but has also lost to an opponent who at the time was in very few people's top 10 list - Wins. Contender Wlad, Raw Whyte, Faded Povetkin, Old man Takam, Snickers boy W1 L1, beat Parker in a 2 vs 1 match (Joshua and the ref vs Parker) and decent wins over God Martin, and Brezeale.
Wilder definitely has the worst resume on the whole, but has an official draw with Fury, and is the only man to knock Fury down more than one time in a fight. Has unreal power and came very close to winning by KO. Got absolutely battered in the rematch, but Fury was awesome. Two wins over Ortiz are excellent as Ortiz, whilst he doesn't have an amazing resume, is clearly a very talented boxer, with decent power. Brezeale and Stiverne the first time are decent wins. Malik Scott's dive was hilarious, so for that, I'm counting that as a good win. "Get your popcorn ready" (Malik Scott) Olympic Gold medalist Audley Harrison (no that one doesn't count) Washington, Duhaupas, decent. But with Wilder it's the way he knocks people out. He is very hard to beat, just because Fury made it look easy, doesn't mean that anyone else can do it. I still have Wilder #2 HW.
Yeah and rematched him and won every round. Wilder lost 10 rounds in the first fight and in the rematch lost every single round and got pulled out by 7th round. Ruiz is a better fighter than wilder anyway
well Wilder gets his rematch now
Fury got the best record, then Joshua, Wilder last.
You can stick a fork in Wilder now.
He maybe be done after that beating Fury gave him, and with the upcoming beating in July, I don't think he will ever recover.
Fury also has put a blueprint down for other fighters to follow.
Wilder's Wins since becoming Champ
Luiz Ortiz Ranked 5th
Dominic Breazeale Not Ranked Top 10
Luiz Ortiz Ranked 5th
Bermane Stiverne II Not Ranked Top 10
Chris Arreola Not Ranked Top 10
Artur Szpilka Not Ranked Top 10
Johann Duhaupas Not Ranked Top 10
Eric Molina Not Ranked Top 10
So he has only two top 10 ranked opponent, both against the same guy who 38 and 40 in the fights.
This without doubt the worst record of any heavyweight champion in history.
Wilder isn't in the big 3. He's in the group with Charles Martin, Robert helenius now. No world class fighter gets beat up that badly by anyone, it was like a father beating a child, I almost felt sorry for wilder until he opened his mouth after the fight
So Joshua isnt in the big 3 either?? because he got dropped 4 times by a none ranked late replacement
Whyte and Klitschko are 2 extremely solid wins. . . Wilder and Klitschko are 2 extremely solid wins as well. . . Joshua just has soooooo many other good names on his resume though. I gotta give it to Joshua. Fury 2nd. Wilder 3rd. . . Beating Luis Ortiz twice though is DAMN impressive. I think Wilder deserves credit for the first Stiverne fight as well. Stiverne was on a nice little roll at the time, that was a good win!
1 Joshua
2 Fury
3 Wilder
They’re all really good fighters though. In this cruel world everyone loves to kick a man while he’s down. It’s cool to hate on Wilder right now. I hope he can bounce back. I wonder what people would be saying if there were boxing forums like this around after Lennox Lewis vs. Oliver McCall 1. Bet everyone would’ve been saying how overrated Lennox Lewis was and how unimpressive his win resume was
