I have read that David Morell, the 22 years old standout from Cuba will go for Gold on his next (third fight) against Allen (22-0). Do you guys think he is been rushed? I saw one of his fights and the kid looked really good. What do you think?
Its a big risk putting him in with such an experienced, durable opponent set for 12 when he's only 3 rounds total as a pro.
I hope he comes through but the further it goes the better Allens chances.
As impressed as I am with David Morrell Jr I can only assume despite his pedigree he has little real idea on how to pace himself especially over 12 rounds.Let see what happens. His handlers think he is the real deal, he thinks he is the real deal. we should find out Saturday.
This Cuban guy is all hype. Looks stiff. Doesn’t even look better than Sullivan Barrera. But seeing how ratings are so crucial and fans are trying to stir attention to this fight, is this really just PBC affiliates usernames on boxingscene? Citizen KobaAre you for real? wtf do I care about pbc. You have to be 12 years old or a gingers fan.

You a headcase, man, David's just an exciting prospect and IDGAF what banner he's fighting under. Maybe he sinks maybe he swims, finding out which it'll be is a large part of the thrill of boxing for me.
I'm excited by dudes like Madrimov, Castro, Simpson and Boots too, not to mention prospects more in the public eye like Ryan G and Vergil. You got some ideas for prospect threads on lesser known dudes I'll happily add em to my list.
Knowledge me up, Frankie! :lol1:
The fight is this Saturday. Looking forward to see him fight. I have watched a couple of clips but nothing much. Allen is a seasoned and undefeated fight, he is not going to just lay for him. I hope he can come thru.

He's one of the best kept secrets in boxing but what is with his team trying to rush him? He's a 22yr old kid that needs time to mature and grow as a pro.
No idea who his opponent is tbh or what title its supposed to be for and its nice his team believe in him but they need to slow down and stop getting ahead of themselves. Give him time to develop and get experience. The fight is this Saturday. Looking forward to see him fight. I have watched a couple of clips but nothing much. I have never seen him but I am very intrigued to see how he does so early in his career against an experienced vet like Allen whom I remember for upsetting Derrick Webster
