Thoughts??? Is wilder a bigger puncher than Mike Tyson or Rocky Marciano?
https://youtu.be/ceo76hy--cM
Reporter from Yahoo sports : my question is for tyson your former trainer Ben Davison said after he knocked out Luis Ortiz, that he thought he was the biggest puncher in heavyweight history you said you were a boxing historian. Do you agree with that? Do you say he is a bigger puncher than a Mike Tyson or Rocky Marciano somebody like that
. Fury : you know great question and the answer to that would be numbers don't tell lies this mans knockout ratios alone say hes the greatest puncher in history in the heavy weight division.
Like i said fighters have agenda's.
Haye also said Bellew hit harder than Wilder and Klitschko in the past.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/7692000/tony-bellew-oleksandr-usyk-david-haye-punches-harder/
Did you read the article?
He said Bellew hits "harder than a Cruiserweight"
"I can tell you first-hand that he punches way harder than a cruiserweight.
“Believe me, I’ve been hit by Wladimir Klitschko, I’ve been hit by Deontay Wilder, I’ve been hit by some of the biggest and hardest-hitting heavyweights on the planet and none of them have put me down like Tony Bellew did in our last fight."
He didn't say he hits harder, just that none of them were able to put HIM down the way Bellew did.
Big difference.
That's 2 different things.
Earnie Shavers was the hardest hitter ever (arguably), but nobody was able to put Ali down the way Frazier did.
Hmm
Wilder is naturally gifted, very strong puncher, however, Mike Tyson is one of the stronger punchers ever, puching power depend a lot on punching technique and posture, Wilder seem to be often in wrong position to punch and his punching technique is not good at the least, not even mentioning that his punching repertory is scarce, Tyson had a big arsenal in his attack, his double hooks first to the lower parts and then to the head were a thing of beauty, his offense was a rampage, there is no way to compare Wilder with Tyson, in my humble opinion.
Fury said it recently. :lol1:
https://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/11933154/wilder-vs-fury-2-tyson-fury-says-wladimir-klitschko-punched-harder-than-deontay-wilder
Tyson Fury also said this
https://www.africanslive.com/tyson-fury-names-boxings-hardest-puncher-between-mike-tyson-and-deontay-wilder-see-his-choice/
“Numbers don’t lie! This man’s knockout ratio alone says that he is the greatest puncher in boxing history, in the heavyweight division,” Fury said.
This is what he does.
Fury's playing mindgames with Wilder because they're fighting on Saturday.
Notice, Ben Davidson who was there said that Wilder's the biggest puncher in history
Wilder, Towers, Haye spent many camps together sparring. They obviously get on well. People are biased and big up people they like over ones they don't. SHOCKER.
Ok. Name one person who sparred or with all of them that says that Klitschko or Joshua hit harder than Wilder..
Holyfield said Foreman hit harder than Tyson.
I said SINCE Tyson.
Foreman came before Tyson.
He wouldn't be SINCE Tyson.
But David Haye sparred with both and said Wilder's a harder puncher.
Tyson Fury fought both and said Wilder's a harder puncher.
So does anybody who ever sparred with or fought both.
You haters are just gonna have to accept that Wilder's a bigger puncher than anybody at least since Tyson.
Doesn't make him the best, but power is not subjective. It doesn't change because of who you fought. Power is power.
Holyfield said Foreman hit harder than Tyson.
ett;20388279]Did you really just post a guy that thinks Vitali hits harder than Wlad's opinion?
There's no way Vitali hits harder than Wlad. That's just crazy talk.
And you were in the ring with them, when?
Because Fury was, Tower was, and Haye was.
What 2 people? One that's promoting a fight and another who's Wilder's friend. :lol1:
Richard Tower said so as well. He sparred with everybody
https://www.rt.com/sport/437447-deontay-wilder-tyson-fury-richard-towers/
“I’ve sparred with every heavyweight you could think of, except Joseph Parker. And I know when it comes to power, Deontay Wilder is in a league of his own," Towers said, as cited by The Sun.
“Put it this way: He hits FOUR times harder than Vitali Klitschko, he hits FIVE times harder than Wladimir Klitschko, he hits SIX times harder than Anthony Joshua, and he hits EIGHT times harder than Tyson Fury,” he added.
Grazed? Grazed wtf you smoking?
No need to exaggerate and make Wilders power out to some mythical status. Wlad probably has more 1 punch KO's than Wilder does. People talk about Wilders power because that's all he has.
People who've been hit by both say that Wilder hits harder than either KLitschko & it's not even close.
So, what are you smoking?
I think wilder is up there and his ratio is crazy he is def an all time puncher but I have yet to see wilder have as nicer knockout or throw a harder punch than lennox landed on rahman in the rematch . ( iam not saying lennox is a harder puncher overall but I have never seen wilder throw a shot like that ....that being said imagine wilder had that kind of form behind his shots ,it would be insane ) . That knockout was one of the best I have ever seen . There are more impressive feats as rahman wasnt a great fighter but p4p that right hand that night was one of the most savage things I have ever seen , iam not sure fury would have gotten up from that one . Lennox in that fight was something else . So focused iam.not sure h2h any heavyweight in history would have stood up to him and that 2 punch combo. Again if wilder had that form the power he has which is already insane and all time would have been out of this world, straight from a differnt planet . Lennox was def not the hardest puncher of all time . I dont think he would come up in most peoples top5 ( even at heavy ) , but I have never seen wilder throw or land a punch like that and unfortunately for wilder Rahman is better than anyone hes ever stopped . Maybe not head to head but legacy wise and that's kind of sad . Going off natural ability I'd have to say its between wilder shavers and foreman . Going off the sweet science and sheer power I think that shot lennox landed on rock and more importantly the form was something else . Iam not sure I could name one fighter who could have stood up to that and there have been some fighters since then .
You think Haye got caught with a full power Klitschko right hand in their fight? He did not or he would have gone down.
Neither of them got hit with a full power Wilder right hand either.
Tyson got grazed in the 12th round and went down.
How do you know whether Wilder hit Haye with a "full power" shot?
If he had, Haye would've been in a hospital.
Like I said, these guys are in gyms every day of their lives, they know how to gauge who's powerful, better than you.
Wilders right hand is brutal, yes. But theres been many fighters more dangerous than him when you look at their overall offensive skillset in comparison. Guys that could end a fight with a wider range of punches from both hands, hurt you to the body etc and who were just better all round boxers in addition to having good power.
He has fought Fury and Ortiz
It’s Joshua and Fury not fighting the top guys.
No, i meant wilder needs to fight and ko iron chins.
and if iron chin fighters say he can punch then we are onto something
I think people need to stop discussing Wilders power until he fights all the best. Fight fury, josh, Ortiz, Whyte, usyk, Joe Joyce and dubois then we can talk
He has fought Fury and Ortiz
It’s Joshua and Fury not fighting the top guys.
This is a silly idea. Let’s not talk about the power of a world champion heavyweight? With power?
Well let's not talk of his prowess until he kos mercer, toney, vitali type chin. Other than that ko parker, ruiz.

No-one can say wilder hits hardest but he's in discussion.
Vitali, wlad, haye, josh, mercer, tue lennoxr are hard hitters also. But they aren't in discusion.
That's all that can be said. If b y time wilder retires and he has highest ko percentage he can do no more than that. Apart from Ko some fighters with renowned tough Chins and get them outta there. So parker and Ruiz need to fight wilder
Fury's comment doenst mean anything. He did not meet Wladimir's best punch. He outboxed him and did not get any serious punch. How can he make proper judgement?
Wilder puts everything in to every shot. Klitschko did not. If you get caught with a 100% punch from Wilder and a 60% from Wlad you're going to think Wilder is a harder puncher.
LMAO, so guys who have been in the ring with both don't know what they're talking about, but y'all do?
You don't think that guys like Richard Tower, Tyson Fury, and David Haye know how to gauge punching power? It's what they do everyday.
You think Wilder put everything into the punch that demolished Ortiz?
He flicked his wrist and Ortiz' head almost exploded.
He grazed Tyson Fury in the 12th round of their fight and he barely got up.
