I'd say Mayweather is the better defensive fighter while Whitaker was a better offensive fighter (with less pop).

I talked with a fried today about who was a better defensive fighter — Floyd or Pea. I say Whitaker and he says Mayweather. Who is right? Best to ask common opponents. Dlh said Parnell was better defensivly. He said Parnell could stand in front of you and you couldn't hit him. Whereas with Floyd it was more running away or footwork. But it wasn't a defensive specialist he thought was the best. It was Pac who was best overall
