Mcgregor is a true entertainer, many casual fans tune in to his fights because of the story he creates leading up to the event. It really is something when you get all these fans super excited for a Mcgregor press conference, where as, fans usually just ignore these type of events considering the robotic, boring answers most of these other fighters give. I dont care much about these talks of class and all, boxing could really use a guy like him, boxers in the past the likes of Tyson, Duran and Ali really brought a lot of excitement with them during their time and their "strong" personality was a big reason why. Also lets not use $$ as proof of star power, its very well documented that Dana and the UFC loves to take the profits away from their fighters. Whenever someone thinks of MMA, UFC is the first thing to come to mind, whenever one thinks of boxing, Top Rank or PBC wouldn't even be in the top 10. UFC holds most of the top fighters and is the only MMA promotion who can create big fights, any fighter who wants to star relevant in the MMA scene better play by the UFC's rules, that is why the disparity of MMA fighters vs boxers is always a hot topic.

First off his last fight did not do anywhere near 2 million buys. That is a number that the media just took off and ran with to get hits. Canelo and Anthony Joshua make significantly more a fight than Conor does. We will see about his staying power. mma fighters at the top fade over night...
