They have agreed to have two more fights regardless of who wins the next one. If Wilder wins there is nothing stopping Top Rank from taking step aside money if all sides agree. Would make sense for Fury to do so as he would fight the winner. Now Wilder is known for leaving money on the table so yes he would be the wild card. But him beating AJ for life changing money and then a third Fury fight for another huge payday would be best for him. It’s not best for Uncle Al as he only likes in house fights and we all know who controls Wilder’s career.

The loss to Ruiz arguably was good for him. Lots of mainstream coverage of the fight and made the rematch bigger. Not sure why we would need a trilogy for Wilder vs Fury no matter how the rematch goes short of Fury sparking Wilder in one round which is unlikely. The biggest money and a chance to be undisputed champion should be the priority. Of course this is the same guy that turned down $100 million guaranteed to make a fraction of that so I don’t expect him to make the right decision.
