I believe that J-Rock did so much better against Hurd because he fought a WAAAAY smarter fight than he did against Rosario. As an underdog against Hurd, Williams boxed beautifully and navigated the ring in tight circles. As a heavy favorite against Rosario, however, he let his bravado get the best of him, as if he was trying to justify the 30-1 odds in his favor.
I say all that to say that I expect a much better J-Rock in the rematch. It won't be easy of course, but I think Williams will focus on getting the win however it comes vs. trying to blow out a heavy underdog in front of his home crowd.
Good post bro . I hope it goes that way , iam a fan of jrock . And u are correct he just went at rosario . The Hurd performance was top notch , and that was coming ,hurd could go long the way he was face first
I think he can win it too , iam just not sure I can pick that right now . Iam hoping he underestimated banana , but that kid was just too big and strong for him , which is crazy becuase Hurd is huge and wears guys down like nothing else . I really wanted to see rock vs mell ,I think julian cam win that fight for sure , actually quite easily if he stays in the pocket like he did vs hurd . Styles make fights and u know jrock ain't underestimating anyone with the surname charlo .

Man, I'm not sure J rock can win. Just a bad matchup. Hell the kid through a jab and cut him. He's going to have to fight from the outside, get on the inside go to the body then clinch and get back on his bicycle. That's a big boy lol and he hungry too.
I can understand why you would say that considering how impressive Rosario looked; I just happen to think that J-Rock is capable of fighting a much smarter fight and I expect him to do that in the rematch. I plan on posting footage on my YouTube channel to illustrate my point.
How ironic is it that this guys alias is Banana? I haven't been around too much lately but I imagine the banana peel expression was referenced heavily.
Haha right ??? I havent seen many people refrence it yet.

I truly believe that J-Rock can win the rematch IF he is dialed in like he was for the Jarrett Hurd fight. He fought a much smarter fight against Hurd but for some reason his bravado got the best of him against Rosario. Either way I think Williams can win the rematch if he moves in tight circles instead of standing and banging right in front of the guy.

This was 110% an upset , however iam not sure William's can win the rematch this kid was all wrong for him , hes gonna have to be In and out and use his legs like never before . When his best work is done in the pocket . And the size differnce was something else . If he wins the rematch kudos to jrock but iam not sure its gonna happen . He got manhandled for the most part he won 1 round and got pushed around like a jr welterweight .

Yes and how in the hell do you win the title on Saturday but be ducking the other champion on Monday? GTFOH with the dumb shyte.
J-Rock has a rematch clause so Rosario couldn't fight Charlo next anyway.
If you listened to what his promoter said. He said even when they do the rematch they have no desire to fight charlo anytime soon. So how is it dumb?????? That's what HIS PROMOTER SAID NOT ME
thats not how it works. it would work that way if the initial line was even and moved to 30 to 1 but whatever the initial line is and the way it moves is where the money is coming from. for example kansas city started off as a -1 point favorite and if it moves towards 49ers that means more people are betting 49ers. if it widens to 2 or 3 points more poeople are betting kansas city
yeh you're right. I don't bet, didnt think it through.
Still, if the odds were 30-1 in favour of JW, then it goes without saying someone profits heavily in the event Rosario wins.

Thank you for clearing that chit up
You beat me to it
Couldn’t believe what I was reading , had reread it cause it didn’t make any sense any way I looked at it
If the odds were 30-1, then it means the money on JW was more than 30x the amount on Rosario. The betting firms would have profited heavily with Rosario winning, of course it really depends on the amount of money involved too. Since sports betting was legalised there are betting firms and casinos all over the country involved..and many are prob controlled by the mafia.
He could get a nice cut of the betting money, or he could even be coerced into it along with the promise of getting the W in the rematch.
a lot like aj vs ruiz 1 and 2 but on a smaller scale.
with AJ as an example he said all he needed to in these 2 instances

Fury-wilder 1 was a definite fix. Wilder-Ortiz 2 was more than likely fixed too.
this is an unregulated sport, it's always been dirty but it's worse since sports betting was legalised.

Verrrrrry doubtful..........
What could Williams possibly gain by throwing this fight?

I expected a close, tough fight. I'd seen Rosario a few times and knew Williams wouldn't have an easy time with him.
Join the NSB Pick Em!
Everyone in there picked J-Rock. The only guy I remember saying anything hopeful about Rosario was BigZ44. Right before the opening bell he said, "Rosario is no slouch, hopefully J-Rock isn't taking this lightly tonight."
Rosario DID look very confident at the weigh-in, and looked relaxed and ready as he was walking into the ring. I expected J-Rock to go to war with him in the early rounds, which he did, but it backfired on him big time.
