Division is a mess, Lara is pretty much done, Hurd has munguia syndrome, zero defence and just gets by on being huge for the division. J-Rock has the Linares look about him, i.e extremely talented but is just too vunerable.
I really like Castano but hes just too damn small.
Madrimov? Cissokho? both look very promising but too early to tell.
Lubin on the comeback trail. Sergio Garcia very talented but zero power.
We really need a WBSS at 154
I thought the Soro fight was his coming out party, Soro is legit and tough as nails & would beat half of those guys in the poll IMO & Castano beat the s hit outta him and the frogs STILL tried to rob him in France, luckily the french camera crew literally pointed the camera at them as they were trying to change the scorecards, was unbelievable :lol1:
Wow that's crazy. Boxing has to be the most corrupt sport of all time lol. Unreal man.
Castano beats everybody there IMO. The Lara fight (which he won bty) was his coming out party now he's ready to take over. That fight actually made him better he hadn't fought anybody good before that.

Whatever. ETH better blow up soon cuz im losing my patience.
Of course there isnt right now, i meant who is most likely to reign over the next few years.
Hopefully Cissokho fights Soro this year, that would be a fantastic matchup. And it looks like they are fasttracking Madrimov, hopefully they dont pump the breaks on him...
My apologies on stating the obvious then. I will have to look into both Cissokho and Madrimov some more. I saw Israil fight against Barerra and thought that was an impressive win for only his 4th fight. Haven't seen Cissokho yet but looks like I will have to.

I think Madrimov will be the man eventually. Though I think he needs slowing up a little. Hearn just needs to make sure hes right in position for first crack after theyve done a Rosario/Williams 2 and Charlo unification. 3-4 fights time and he'll be a force.
I don't think there is one definitive "man" at 154. I really haven't seen Cissokho or Madrimov to comment. Hurd, Lara, Castano, JRock, Charlo and Harrison are capable of beating each other to some degree or another.
Garcia has skills but no power and hasn't really had any signature wins. He looked good outclassing Cheeseman but what does that really tell us? Rosario looked very good against JRock but lost by KO to Gallimore and struggled with Cota.
A tournament would settle alot but I think if you had 3 tournaments with the same exact set of fighter in this division but different matchups of the contestants, there'd probably be 3 different winners. There's alot of rock, paper, scissors at 154.

The guys are evenly matched and the division is wide open. Nobody is waiting for a call from Canelo, Pac or Floyd so they have to fight each other.
This is not a bad thing but here in BS if a fighter loses automatically they are crap.

I wanted to vote Castano, thought he beat Lara & battered a decent top 10 guy in Soro (SD was BS) but his size means i dont think he can reign in the long term (only 5'7) smaller than most 140 guys...
I think either Israil Madrimov or Souleymane Cissokho will have a breakout year in 2020 and maybe unify in 2021/22. Madrimov seems to be more skilled and have more pop but Cissokho seems to be more athletic and fast and has the height and reach to box as well as brawl.
Saying that Madrimov stopped the same guy in his debut that Cissokho went the distance with a few fights ago, make of that what you will..
