He's wasting his career away with Top Rank. He should just buy out his contract and go to Dazn or PBC so he can fight the likes of Canelo, Callum Smith, Pascal, Brown, Joe Smith Jr, David Benavidez, Caleb Plant etc, etc, etc...
He's at the dead end of Top Rank street right now.
Ooh I forgot about Pascal. I'm a fan can't believe he's still a top contender in the division. I remember watching that first Hopkins fight lol.
Bro, I was AT the first Hopkins fight :lol1:
Should fight Jean Pascal...the guy who just beat Browne and Jack.

he kknows guys his actual size will kill him
Guy
Ah man that sucks. I wanted to see what his big ass could do at 175.
When he moved up, he looked like he expected to be able to just train as hard and work as hard and eat more. Not how it works. Jesse Hart thought the same thing and got worked by JSJ
Bought himself out. Last I saw he said he wanted a fight with Chavez Jr.
So yeah, basically retired.

Who cares he’s on that Top Recycle diet at Top Rank winning a vacant title at 168 and they trying to do the same at 175. Arum thought this kid was going to be a Mexican star hahaha.
As soon as he steps up in competition he’s done, he’s lucky that all these 175lbs are old as dirt but he don’t want none of bivol. Surprise that Bivol isn’t considered a Canelo opponent
I know this is a little offtopic but how often do we see this. Boxers moving up weight and forgetting how hard they had to work and how stringent their diets had to be. It's only ever a few lbs and so many fighters just start eating more.
As far as Ramirez goes, I mean I wish him well if he's trying to get out - I just hope he doesn't go chasing the ginger dream ticket because that list of potentials is getting damn long.
I doubt that. I mean unless dazn promises him something of course. PBC would probably be the best fit for him. Tons of potential fights for him over there.
He moved up and faced Karpency and he looked like he assumed moving up to 175 would be the exact same thing except he could eat more. He looked soft and awful.

He just isn't very good. Maybe a top 6 contender but not a champion at 168 or 175 if he fights the best. He had a hard time with Hart who was crushed by Smith and Smith lost almost every round to Bivol. He might have a chance to beat Plant but he has no chance against Bivol or Beterbiev and probably loses to Benavidez too. Maybe some other promoter can get him bigger fights but I think he loses to the best of 168 or 175.
He never got a chance to fight the best so of course we're not going to see the best of Zurdo either. Some fighters look mediocre when they're always put up against lesser opposition.
From what I understand that’s the original beef at TR. he moved up and was livid he had his belt stripped and given to BJS.
Yeah stripped and put on the shelf. I'm so glad he's trying to ditch Top Rank. He's still in prime.
Ok yeah now I remember that.

Thank you. Half the time when I’m the only one who remembers things I wonder if I dreamed it lol
I think they moved him from 168 because they had nothing left for him there while they have a bunch of 175lb fighters. He can probably still make 168

There's Bivol at DAZN. And Pascal minor title at PBC. That would actually be a bigger fight money wise than Bivol. Pascal can still pack them in in Montreal
Oh I know he can. I drove 6 hours Toronto to Montreal to see Pascal/Hopkins way back. I actually don't think Zurdo performs well against any of them. He moved up and faced Karpency and he looked like he assumed moving up to 175 would be the exact same thing except he could eat more. He looked soft and awful.
After seeing Hart give him trouble, then Hart run from Smith for 12 rounds....yeah.
Now it's going to the Alvarez Seales winner vs Joe Smith
That's a good fight...Alvarez/Smith is probably a better fight than Alvarez/Zurdo IMO.
Still weird he moves up to 175 where TR runs ****, then decides he wants to go somewhere with no champs lol.

He's trying to buy out the contract, which I thought was odd because Bob has been trying to get him the vacant WBO strap that Canelo dropped.
If Bob is good for anything, it's getting his guys a WBO strap.
