Tired of people talking about 50/50 and other bull**** when it pertains to Wilder Joshua fight it's the same as anyone demanding 50% against Canelo Joshua is a genuine star no one else at heavy is he's done over a mill ppv on four separate occasions.
Joshua now sells at 25 pound - 35 dollars.
25 pounds is 32 dollars. Not 35. We'll see if Joshua stays at 25 pounds for the Pulev fight.
When wilder has done ppv (which is only against Ortiz/fury isn’t it?) he has charged max of $75 ?
Yes and Wilder-Fury II has raised the price to $80.
Stop trying to make out it’s a bigger gap, it fools no-one.
Wilder-Fury II will generate more PPV money worldwide than Joshua-Pulev will. Yes, Joshua is the biggest draw, but the thread title is that he's the ONLY star. Which clearly isn't true.
Most UK PPVs are around 20 pounds, Most US PPVs are 75-85 dollars. You need three UK buys to equal one US buy.
Most.

Taking a like-for-like opponent in Brezeale , wilder didn’t even go ppv. That at a time when Joshua was really early in his career getting 1 million ish buys (can’t remember exact).
It’s not really an argument to be had, go back to arguing wilder is the better fighter. Marketing wise he is a small fish in a big pond. :)
Most Americans are so xenophobic and stupid this whole thread contains that’s not America though as of the money doesn’t count. Joshua sells more and gets paid substantially more than wilder and is known globally by a lot more people he’sa huge star in Britain and Nigeria and globally a much bigger draw than wilder I’d say he’s roughly ten times as big a star as wilder
who do u think wins the fight between aj and wilder and how? neither of their monies will help them in the ring... they are both very well of and rich, congrats to aj for having more, lets talk boxing tho, it seems like their is more network and money wars on this site than actual boxing talk.
Joshua will knock him out early.
He is a big star. By typing in what his net worth is I got 80 million bucks. But Fury is worth 40 million and Wilder is worth 30 million so they are both very rich men too. They made all that money without AJ and are set to make much more without him. If AJ wants to try to be the unified heavyweight champ he must fight the winner of Wilder vs Fury. He can't make them fight for the amount he wants them to get. He has to make a deal or never have a chance be the full champion. Wilder and Fury have done very well without him all these years and they could continue to do so if he wants too big a share of the money.
Without Joshua they wouldn't have a fraction of that wealth.
Wilder and Fury were the same as the rest of the heavyweights no-one wanted to watch.
Joshua brought the division back. Wilder and Fury have leveraged off that.
I think these ppv numbers actually under estimate it.
Wilder for example makes 300k ppv buys against a top class opposition? Against the likes of Brezeale etc he can’t go ppv at all. But that’s in his own country , what do they get outside the country?
We know Joshua not only did dazn’s biggest numbers at a non-prime time but numerous other markets across the world are interested too.
It’s the global reach , rather than “uk” or “us” which is the real money making difference.
So I have to ask, is drawing power more important then the fact we saw this guy get smacked across the ring by a fat late replacement? Yea he came back and won but damn that doesnt erase the fact it happened..his stock has dropped a lot no matter how much people want to pretend it didnt. One guy had to rematch a fat dude after getting stopped while the other has been dropping people let and right in dramatic fashion.. If Wilder stops Fury then im sorry he is the top dog.........
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury II 'Will decide who is number 1 in the division for now in terms of pure fighting'
But in terms of business/market value, Anthony Joshua is number 1 as of now etc
Well said, Bro's.
The only one that’ll have to sacrifice financially to make the fight is aj he earn substantially more than wilder per fight but to make it so wilder earns enough he’ll have to take a pay cut on what he got against ruiz whilst wilder will get more than his career earnings combined
... guess that's the price of getting knocked on your azz while believing you are the greatest ... in America. Oh well. :boxing:

Wilder's PPVs cost 3x as much as UK PPVs. So he's averaging a million buys at UK prices.
Joshua is a bigger star, but that doesn't mean Wilder isn't a star too. Wilder was guaranteed $20 million for his last fight and will likely be guaranteed at least $30 million for the Fury rematch.

Just to clarify-his PPV success is in England. Over here in America he isn't doing that level of business because he quit against Gabriel Iglesisas the comedian.
I think he is as big in England as the Spice Girls or One Direction.
this would be deep and meaningful if wilder got more than 150 ppv buys whenever he fights.

Eddie Hearn disagrees: https://www.boxingscene.com/hearn-50-50-deal-now-possible-joshua-vs-wilder-fury--145258
They dummy cost 15 dollars a pop and never have his most recent fight was£25 which translates to 35 dollars the most important thing is the number of people interested differs dramatically ones a star and the other is not
yeah...you're a ****ing ***g0t bruh.
