Nobody uses that mobile stream crap, you are hurting boxing by signing an exclusive deal with them.
If he signed a deal with FOX or ESPN his fighters would have been more well known, same thing with Oscar, signing Canelo to DAZN was all about quick money grab but it hurts Canelos reach and hurts boxing from getting popular
Anthony Joshua and Devin Haney are being hidden to the world by DAZN mobile app
Hearn made the worst deal in boxing now he relegated to try to get Antonio Brown to fight a youtuber again
also why did he disrespect boxers by putting Billy Joe Saunders and Devin Haney as chief support to some boxing youubers? thats a slap in the face to those guys, Regis Prograis said he felt saddened watching that fight live in STaples he said all these youtubers and youtube fans were stuck up and annoying narcissistic people none of them even watched the Devin Haney fight he said he would never fight on a youtubers undercard after witnessing that **** in person.
DAZn biggest mistake was getting Hearn to be the one to get DAZn off the ground in the states, Because he had no power in the Market he was entering and because he’s a Promoter first so it instantly makes other Promoters or People in Power on competing sides not want him to succeed or do business with him and hurt their platform in the process. DAZn should have hired a Established Well Respected name Who could have a working relationship with all of the major players in the sport
Now because DAZn has underperformed they’ve resorted to gimmicks for subscribers , which not only cheapens the sport and their brand but I don’t think that a strategy for having long term success.
Well this feels a bit like tv shows signing themselves over to netflix. I would much rather pay 1 sub fee than buy 4 PPV's a year, it's a no brainer as far as i'm concerned :D
Well your wrong. Guys like Andrade are not even getting 100k views now.
Dazn has killed fighters marketability.
Hearn is just using gimmicks now with youtubers to put on fights, none of his boxers have reach in the states, AJ should be a household name here the guy has charisma, and good looking and tall, but nobody knows him he fights on a mobile app
I would much rather pay 1 sub fee than buy 4 PPV's a year
Name the four fights DAZN had last year that would have been PPVs in the US if DAZN didn't exist.
Regular HBO and Showtime fights are still behind a paywall.
How does that have anything to do with what was being discussed? Nobody is denying that DAZN has HBO level fights. The question is whether they have HBO PPV level fights and the truth is that they've only had two of them in the year and a half since DAZN launched.
What are the four events DAZN had last year that would have been PPVs in the HBO/SHO era?
Regular HBO and Showtime fights are still behind a paywall.
If you look at the list of fighters now with Matchroo. And Golden boy it's looking pretty impressive. I think more will move over as time goes on, as sad as it is if Haymon cant make better fights and they still keep doing poor numbers on Fox there is a danger they pull out of boxing. I wouldnt be surprised if in a few years DAZN pretty much monopolises combat sports.
Why do people smoke cigarettes?
Why do people pay for porn?
Why do people still DUI in this world of Uber and Lyft?
You cant fix stupid.
DAZN is a great project and it's a steal at $100 annually. I get Canelo PPVs regardless and his 2 fights/year ALONE would cost more than $100. And I get Joshua, Andrade, GGG, Mikey Garcia, Inoue (sometimes), BJS, etc.
Either that or I can pay $80 to watch Errald Spencer fight a Lightweight at WELTERWEIGHT. What a joke XD XD XD XD
And by the way...the YouTube fights might be on to something. Boxing like all sports is ENTERTAINMENT. I'd be lying if I said it didnt sound funny or entertaining. Might even make for GOOD TV. I'll probably catch the replay if it's good. Why not? Cant be as bad as Danny Garcia fighting Redkach or Spence driving into another ditch to avoid Terrence Crawford...
who is Errald Spencer?
the only sub service I can find is DAZN and they happen to have the 2 biggest stars in boxing. Assuming each fight twice a year, that alone would save me $200+ in PPVs
The Joshua fights wouldn't have been PPVs in the pre-DAZN era.
What are the four events DAZN had last year that would have been PPVs in the HBO/SHO era?
I happily pay for almost any PPV that's going, (location permitting) because I love boxing and if that means I need to pay $300-500 a year in PPV alone, I would and do.
I don't care if it's DAZN, ESPN, FOX or whoever. I would simply rather pay a one off flat fee or monthly sub than having to pay upto 5 times the cost via individual events.
Of course no platform will have everything. Netflix doesn't have the Mandalorian, or the old Lost series that I love, that doesn't mean it isn't great value and it wouldn't stop me paying for it every month.
As of right now, the only sub service I can find is DAZN and they happen to have the 2 biggest stars in boxing. Assuming each fight twice a year, that alone would save me $200+ in PPVs, even if they showed nothing else at all.
Why would anybody be angry at someone trying to prevent us from forking over $100/fight when we can view alot of PPV worthy fights for the same amount?
This kind of post attacking DAZNs consumer friendly model sounds shilly. Original posters should make it known if they were paid or sponsored in the creation of their posts.

It’s called “Business” and if it makes money why not do it? Should they not ever make a profit? End up like box nation? I’m sure plenty of critics jumped all over YouTube to watch try Floyd exhibition videos. Is he trying to claim or make any of these guys world champions? No, so I don’t see how it hurts the sport. If you don’t use dazn then cool, if you paid for dazn and have an issue with this don’t tune in. Plenty of shhh I don’t like on Netflix but I still pay em every month and don’t whine about it.
Eddie Hearn is a POS for making great fights? Okay.
On a service that nobody uses. It hurts the sport put the fights on FOX or ESPN at least to gain fans and help the sport grow first
Nobody in the US knows how Anthony Joshua is
complaining about streaming services nowadays is like complaining about those useless mobile phones / smartphones / the internet when they started to become more prevelant.

I'm indifferent to DAZN, and Hearn, they either succeed or they don't, but boxing has always been run by crooks so I ain't really getting your complaint here whether you like Hearn as an individual or not.
Whether DAZN succeeds or not though, I think it's all but inevitable that streaming services will become the future of not just boxing but all sports. If it ain't DAZN it'll be someone else... more and more folk are watching streaming movies and stuff through their TV these days and it's likely that in a few years your traditional US Cable companies will basically just transition to streaming only services.
We're not talking about just watching stuff on your mobile devices here, it's going to be quite literally how you watch stuff on your TV...I mean IDK, can you even get get 'dumb' TVs that don't have streaming chanells any more? Can't even recall the last time I saw one for sale.

IDK if
DAZN isn't available in UK so I couldn't care less.
If you feel that you have a loyalty to a certain channel or service, its not that service that exposes fighters less, you're doing it to yourself by not widening your viewing platforms.
